Anyone else have aggro problem with their pets?

As a BM hunter, lately my spirits struggle to keep the aggro if more than two mob is attacked (and lets not talk about the situations where some mob spawns in the middle of the fight)… and find myself maimed by angry mobs
Anyone else experienced the same?

Not having a problem myself.

Add this into your rotation somehow or just make sure it’s available if you don’t already have it:

/cast [@focus,help,nodead][help,nodead][@pet,exists] Misdirection

It’ll cast Misdirection on your pet by default, on your focus target if you have one (focus the tank in Dungeons) or on whatever friendly target you have selected.

If you gain aggro from new mobs, mid-fight. Stick a multishot on one of them and make sure your pet is attacking them.

I use this macro to fully control my pets with 1 button:

/cast [@pet,dead] Revive Pet; [nopet] Call Pet 1
/startattack [combat]
/petattack [combat]
/cast Dash
/cast Claw
/cast Bite
/cast Smack

I have one for each Call Pet and just swap them round depending on which pet I want to use.

BM hunter pets are a joke in SL imo.
Before you had no problem if you didnt use MD on every pull and if you didnt mend your pets with a 100% uptime.
Now, even with my iLvl 180+ gear i see my pets getting hit for 4%-XX% HP by white/rare/rare elite mobs; see them lose aggro on AoE pulls when MD runs out/isnt cast.
Yes i’ve used a clefthoof, yes i’ve used a corehound; yes i’ve used the pets i did use before; it just feels wrong.

Yes it is wrong. It’s trash actualy. We have to use misdirection on every pull if it’s 2+mobs and not only that. Misdirection is on a nice 30secs cd. Meaning that if the fight is long with several mobs spawning as you fight (cause they piled mobs in the new maps every 5 yards) you are not able to use it again. At least make misdirection’s cd 15 seconds you “i don’t test anything before implement” guys.
