Anyone else just stopped renewing their sub?

Boring does not equal easy, and hard does not equal exciting or eventful. Something can be ridiculously hard yet boring.
I understand that you dont feel that way but quite a few people do.

But what are the alternatives ? People forget that really fast. Because the alternative, for now, is what we had before.

Imagine for a minute that seasonal affixes return. And you happen to not like it. Then what ? You are stuck with a stupid, intrusive mechanic causing wipes in the already hard +14 or +15 you are doing… and you are stuck with it for the whole season !

You cannot guarantee that every single season you will get an awesome affix you like. I mean… were are STILL stuck with the -15s death penalty. Even if literally 100% of the playerbase hates it ! Well, were stuck with it until S2 apparently !

Dehward, you suggested the Boimsamdi affix. What about all the other seasonal affixes that existed since Legion ? You liked ALL of them ? Would you like Thundering from S1 DF back ? Or would you like to be stuck for 5 months with beguiling or infested ?

People (including myself) wanted affixes gone from high keys for a reason. Because sometimes its awesome. But most of the time affixes are so intrusive its really annoying and frustrating. And given the fact that Blizzard cannot make an affix that everyone likes, its better to have none at all.

What you guys might want to propose is that since we got no affixes now, Blizzard can get a bit more creative with dungeons. That would be a better solution.

Plus. Dehraward. I dont like to be pedantic. But talking about doing 12s when you did your first and only 12 4 weeks ago feels a bit weird. Please tell me that is your alt and you play with a main.

no it isn’t, Blizzard can design and add new affixes whenever they want.

Nope, never said that. Only a few have been genuinely good.

Oh yeah, i’m done with the season. The dungeons are bad, the affixes are bad, the 12+ no affixes is even worse (it should have a hard high end affix for good players). This pala was my alt, i started on a bear to 11s then switched. Then i had to gear pala, it’s all so tedious i gave up.

If they don’t make sweeping changes i’m not sure i’ll even play wow again. The design is just garbage, the decisions breathtakingly stupid

However, Blizzard have been doing cool dungeons with cool mechanics and bosses consistently every season.

So based on those observations for the past 8 years… (cool dungeons but stupid affixes) …

Thats a bit rough. Give S2 a shot atleast.

I usually play wow just for a month & then take a month long break.
Wow is a pretty good game, but there really isn’t enough content to keep me interested for more than a month.

Buying a sub for this game makes me feel like I have to play wow everyday while my sub is active or I’m wasting money.

I also try to time my sub somewhere in the middle of the month so that I can double dip on trading post goodies with just 1 sub.

Thats not rough. Thats what happens when people get burnt out. Thats what happens when the content they once enjoyed gets turned into something they no longer enjoy and perceive as bad, when it was once good or even great.

This is what has happened to loads of people this patch, most of them are ones that got stuck at the +12 wall and couldnt get over it. Then theres those that got stuck at lower levels, since theres content for all of us, and either gave up on m+ or the game alltogether.
Theres loads of other reasons to get burnt out on m+ or the game in general.

I am not in the this situation myself right now, luckily, however it happened to me in Shadowlands and if it wasnt for my friends i would not have been playing now.
Dehra solely pugs, if that was me in SL i would have never come back.

Im one of those that decided to take a break. But not because the absence of affixes.

Specifically because of the presence of affixes. I wish there were none at all to begin with. No -15s death penalty. No tyranical+fortified. No +10% base damage on 12+ keys…

NOTHING.

Because those are the affixes that got me to take a break. Same as in DF. I really enjoyed DF but at one point I got really sick of Fortified+Bosltering weeks. Really dumb.

They cant get affixes right. EVER.

So better to not have any at all.

I mean… EB was nice. But REALLY annoying. The spinny boyz that 1-shoted people and were SUPER hard to bait. The stupid flowers…

And the RNG of the bosses… yish…

Add bolstering to that and thank god for VDH and their double sigyl. Otherwise that place would be impossible.

Such as? Every dungeon this season sucks, and they have to bring 2 old dungeons back every season. Mechanics are either basic dodge stuff or gimmicks like stitchflesh hook that STILL CAN HOOK MINIONS

Unfortunately my opinion is tarred by the affixes that coexisted with those dungeons so i can’t take them in a vacuum.

Blizzard doesn’t possess any foresight at all and it’s actually enraging lol. For example, siege of Boralis spotters to kill trash (they only fixed it years later when they brought it back), freehold last boss barrage killing trash, tol dagor dragging everything to the cannons.

If Blizzard just actually thought about how degenerate players are they would catch so much before it happened or in the beta. Think about how pros and pug will play dungeons and design around them. Just “oh but they look cool and will be fine in nm/hc” isn’t good enough.

They bring 4 old dungeons back. And that has been debated 1000 times.

They do that so that we are not stuck with the same exact dungeons for 2 years streight (the duration of an expansion). Which I think is an overall positive thing.

As for “every dungeon sucks” is an exageration and you know it. Are there annoying mechanics in some dungeons ? YES. Does that mean that overall they all suck ? NO.

Also… when they do a linear dungeon like SV people say its boring. When they actually get creative and do something new like DB people say its horrible.

And next season we get the one with the weird gnolls and their candles. The cart mechanic is new and inovative. And people are ALREADY complaining.

Then Blizzard makes linear dungeons as a result. And then you come along and say they are boring and want affixes like the TPs and things like that to give more spice.

sorry i should clarify, this season i think they suck. Not all dungeons ever lol.

Usually i have a comfy dungeon that i like to spam for crests, such as Throne of The Tides. It’s all unfun now. People don’t los GB drakes, people won’t solve the mists puzzles while i tank, people will let spotters run to a new pack etc etc. It’s not things that are hard, not in an 8, it just grates when each new group fails it.

yeah, it’s going to suck. The dark section is objectively bad. Timer + 0 damage/0healing dark zones, how can you not see what it will be like. Tedious isn’t fun. Fiddling with a candle for a 3 minute boss fight yeah that will be so amazing /s.

If there was a dungeon that had you solve complex quadratic equations i’m sure it would be very exciting, very new an innovative but still horrible.

Blizzard has forgotten it’s about player fantasy/player power. I want a dungeon that ends will me toe-punting Sylvanas in to the sun with the press of an action button after a lengthy boss fight. xD

After a specific criteria is met, the entire party becomes avatars and you just start punching trash mobs across the room. Pick them up and Hulk stomp them like Hulk did to Loki in Avengers.

Players love to be strong, they love their class fantasy. But Blizzard insists on making it bland and homogenous. There’s just no passion in anything they do. By the books, please the stockholders. Player retention. Keep them playing for as long as possible with as little effort as possible.

Early WoW was a bunch of nerds that made a highly unbalanced game that was fun regardless. They cared about what they did.

In S3 it was full of 1-shot mechanics. So horribly annoying and hard to push that key. Everthing in there had random casts and hit like a truck.

And that is why you will never get 100% what you want.

Lengthy boss fight? No thanks. If I want to spend 10 minutes hitting sylvanas I would raid. Thats where the lenghty boss fights are in.

Common. Not again. It was not “fun” regardless.

You might not agree with the changes that happened over the years. But they happened for a reason.

Because people wanted to play paladins (because of the “class fantasy” you mention) but could not tank, heal or DD like a warrior, priest, or rogue. So they had a really hard time finding groups, and/or actually performing in said groups.

So I think you got things confused here.

Make a petition and i will sign that on every character i have xD

Only thing i am tired about is the M+ grouping systems and the leavers in M+.

I just wanna hop on and play without all this waiting or wasting time, Time that could be spent playing instead of just waiting for invited or using 15-25 min in a dungeon and then someone leaves.

I rather go back to gearing how it was before, this upgrade-system has too many currencies and the exchanges with 10 options is like ‘Which one did I need to use again?’

If they want to keep this upgrade-system in the game, just go back to ONE currency instead of multiple vaguely named crests and have it require currency like this:
100 normal > 1000 HC > 10000 Mythic

Higher difficulty = More currency drops but also more currency required to upgrade.


But even with that I feel this upgrade-system doesn’t FEEL rewarding, yes your gear is higher ilvl after upgrading, but it takes away from the YES I GOT AN UPGRADE while doing a dungeon or raid.


The same goes for the crafting, some people might enjoy it a lot, I find it needlessly complex, when I occasionally need to craft something it feels like I need a notebook to keep track of the steps I need to take to craft something ridiculously simple, while feeling it requires a PhD to operate.

Going back to pure RNG gearing is an absolute NO from me. Yes, maybe it could be made simpler but removing it completely would be horrible.

Steady flow of upgrades > RNG drops - all day, every day.

Now that Precognition is aquired solely through PvP, I don’t seek any crafted items. I don’t care about any embelishments or whatever. The crafting system can go to hell.

Genuinely considering by how weak and lame this patch is.
