I am quite satisfied with it yes. I won’t say that I am hyped out of my shorts and can’t sleep at night cause I can’t wait to log back on in the next day, but I am actually looking forward from work to log in and play…instead feeling that I have to log in to do my chores.
Some stuff needs a bit work but I also won’t be that grumpy grampa(like certain other forum posters^^) who are constantly unhappy about something…anything.
Thats the key thing for me. Thinking ‘what do I want to do today?’, not ‘what do I have to do?’.
This feels much more open world and expansive and I dont feel like I have to follow a set path through the content.
I love it. First time I feel so relaxed playing wow. The areaw are beautiful, music top notch as always. I liked the quests. In general the whole expansion feels more relax.
The lack of chores has been incredibly refreshing. I don’t feel I have to do things to be efficient. I can literally just log in and have fun.
It’s a shame the flying makes me want to vomit all the time. I try to make the most of flight paths and the teleport system. But I still have to take breaks after most flights to wait for the nausea to subside.
I’ve heard this feedback a lot both here and on Twitter. The new Flying is awesome, but apparently can cause motion sickness for some people.
Do you think if they changed the way the animation works, but not the functionality, it could resolve this issue? It seems to do a lot of camera pulling when you do dive animations for example.
I’ve tried the various suggestions and settings and tbh I just need a different way to fly to what is currently offered in game. I don’t think there is anything they can do to make it manageable.
I have seriously been considering unsubbing and coming back when regular flying is unlocked in the Dragon Isles. We don’t even know when that will be. I was relieved to see others have had issues and I don’t see why Blizzard can’t let us fly normally. It’s slower, it’s going to be a disadvantage over dragon riding, there is no advantage from having regular flying. You’ll be captain slow.
Ofc all the mini games would require dragon riding, you’d never make any times slow flying anyway xD
I think Blizzard is once again overly afraid of people not using a system they spent a ton of dev time and resources creating. However, given the overwhelming positive feedback dragonriding has recieved, I really don’t think they ought to be concerned in this case.
So I’d agree, I think regular flying should still be an option. The only advantage regular flying has over dragonriding is you can AFK in the air. But everything else is just slower. So there is no reason for them to not just enable it in the game.
Yep, i’ve had the urge to log on every day, not out of need to grind something, because it probably took 10 hours to level and like 3 hours to get full pvp geared, but just to do random battles in the world, finish up wqs, do some races, farm mats and do professions, maybe bang out a M0.
I don’t really understand the AFK in the air argument. Or maybe I’m just missing something that is a great advantage from doing that (which is completely possible). I’ve afked plenty but it’s on a ledge, a rock, a tower, a tree etc. Whether I’m hovering in the air or on a surface doesn’t really make any difference.
It’s incredibly so far. And it’s so fun to see players who are used to borrowed power grinds, not knowing what to do with themselves.
There are so many people whining in here about “there not being anything to do”, when there is plenty. Guess it takes a few months for people to fully get out of the “spoon feeding mentality”.
Also too many saying there is no content, literally days into the expansion.
BIG kudos btw to making WPvP amazing and engaging.
