Anyone suffering from 'Logging into game server' screen and nothing happening?

Not only did a first ticket get resolved, have had to raise another after re-installing battle net.

its not just you. very long time at logging in at the world server and world server is down errors when logging in the char.

It’s happening to me as well.
Every time I log in I have to wait a few minutes at “Logging in to game server” and then when I log into a character the first time it loads for a long period of time then says “World server is down”. After that I can just log into characters normally.

I don’t think this has anything todo with servers.

I play on Linux and have this “Logging in to game server” for a few minutes, then it finally shows my character selection screen and the first time I try to login it gets stuck at 75% before it errors out with “World server is down”. Then I just try again and it works.

I’ve had this since the patch.

So why do I think this has nothing todo with the servers?

Well, I copied over my WoW folder to Windows and started it from there… no issues! Back on Linux… logging in to game server for an eternity!

So yea, something funny is going on with the login procedure.
