Gonna cut straight to the chase;
So what with the removal of AP from Legion content, is it not about time AP tokens were removed from class order hall mission rewards? There is no sane person that would send their followers on a 6 hour long mission, just for a 10 gold junk item.
I’m fairly new to WoW, so I’m not to sure what would be a good replacement for them, but seeing as AP would boost your characters power, I feel like they should be replaced with something else that does the same, or at least something useful that can help us progress elsewhere.
During legion those items would award Artifact Power, when the BFA pre-patch rolled around Artifact Power was removed and your Artifact weapon now scales with your level, those items are just a remnant of an old system.
I am aware of this, I practically said that in my post, I was saying because they are junk items worth a very small amount of gold now, and they don’t give you AP, they should be removed from Class Order Hall missions, because why would you send 3 followers away for 6 hours for a 10 gold junk item?
You’re still completely missing the point. If you’re not going to read my posts properly, and just sit there like ‘deal with it, it’s happened before’ rather than accepting that this is a very simple fix for an outdated thing that is in the game, then please just leave my post.
There is no reason to send followers on a 6 hour mission for 10 gold. It’s a wasted mission slot in your order hall. Just saying ‘That’s how it is’ isn’t a solution.
What you are forgetting is that just because BFA is out now, doesn’t mean no one will ever play Legion content again. People still need to level through that content.
Also, you clearly didn’t read my original post, so you obviously didn’t look at my toon level either. I not only do not own BFA yet, but I’m only 109 on this toon, which would mean if I had BFA, I’m probably not quite at that content yet, and sure I have a 110 DH and a 100 DK too, but even if I had BFA, I’d barely be at that content yet, so just saying ‘go to most recent expansion’ isn’t an answer, and I don’t even understand why you would take that stance. Oh, that’s right, because you’re at max level and probably just don’t care about newer players or the experience they have while leveling.
I don’t know what else to say my friend, the mission tables from Legion are officially old content and the enticement for people now is to level through the Legion zones and dungeons to 110, to continue the journey through to BFA so you can use the newer version of mission tables.
It’s more of a question of do you really need the Legion tables updated for content that isn’t current anymore, Legion provides in itself plenty of other avenues for rewards and levelling gear, I suggest you quest in Suramar for a bit, it has a nice mix of both fun and rewards for the content within the zone.
You’re not really supposed to use the mission tables as fluently as you once did with in Legion, the goal is to get to the newer BFA version.
Which, provide a nice reward with the pet charms if you’re an avid pet collector.
Yes. You do need to update it. YOU might be 100% completed and finished with Legion (I doubt you are, but lets just say you are, for the sake of argument) but other people are not. There are various achievements and in game systems tied to order hall missions, and I say again, why the hell would anyone want to send 3 of their followers away on a mission for 6 hours for 10 gold?
I’ve cleared Sura, but thanks for the suggestion I guess. I know there are other things in the game, I don’t have blinders on and I’m not claiming that the only content in the game is order hall missions so they should be fixed. What I’m saying is that AP items are literally classed as junk now. Junk is NOT a reward. Order Hall Missions are supposed to give rewards upon completion.
How are you not seeing my point? Why are you so against them replacing the reward with something else, lets say a random cache or something? I Really do not understand why you are taking a stance against one small thing that would improve the game, even if only by 0.0000001%, it would be a 5 min fix.
Thos tokens still give you gold, not a lot but it’s still something. If you think that mission isn’t worth the reward then don’t do it. You don’t have to do every single missions there is.
Calm down my friend, it’s just that a superior version of the table exists with BFA, your idea only appeals to those who wish to stay in one specific area of old content as oppose to what we have going currently.
In reference to your previous statement, if you’re having a problem with a certain achievement you can search the forums for a workaround or contact support for further assistance if you’re working towards a literal impossible achievement.
Okay I give up, you’re still missing the point. I’m not saying anyone wants to permanently stay in legion content, I’m saying people still have to level through it, heck, just remove the missions that give AP completely, I’d be okay with that, I was literally just trying to point out how pointless those particular missions are.
I also didn’t say I was having trouble with anything, or that anything has become impossible, I was just trying to make a very simple point, so how it’s completely going over your head bewilders me.
I literally only said the AP rewards should be changed, or removed, because they’re pointless missions. Honestly, I’m not experienced enough with WoW to give a solid suggestion for what should replace it, which is why I made this thread, to see what other people would have suggested, but even just replacing those missions with ones that give follower xp is better than what it is currently, and if we apply your logic of you should just get to BFA, then follower xp is a good shout as a replacement reward, because it would help you get through Legion content a tiny bit faster.
I get your point that the ap tokes missions are completely useless but let me try to explain why i think that they are this way. It would be a literally a complete waste of work for bliz devs to update them to something useful that is balanced and fine with everyone and the reason i think why they didnt remove them at all because ususally in programming something important in the game which seems to be completely unreladed to this stuff could break for example i could imagine if you would just delete those missions you could break the whole current mission system or worse.
I appreciate your thoughts on this, and I would agree that that is the reason they haven’t completely removed them, however I am a little experienced with programming (Mostly Java, some C++ and C#, and a tiny bit of python) and it really is super easy to remove them from the rewards. In the simplest terms I can put it in, removing them from order hall rewards wouldn’t cause any issues because the variables for the item would be in a completely different class file to order hall mission rewards, which would simply pull the item ID from the class file that holds the info about the item (which at this point, as the item doesn’t do anything, would essentially be fairly blank anyway). So this wouldn’t impact the game in the way you are thinking it would.
