Apparently 70,000 gold is equal 10 achievement points

Does gold even have any value at this point ? You do a world quest and you get like 1.5k gold. Tbh if you dont have couple of hundred thousand gold at this point you are either playing 10 minutes a day or actively avoiding stuff that passively gives gold

Yep just found that out. Was going to dump 70k and call it day but you can only contribute 10k per day. So are not able to leave this last minute.

This would have made the “gold sink” a far less bitter pill to swallow. Maybe add it to the suggestions and hopefully they will take note for next year.

The problem is not the price, it’s the idea behind it. Even if it was 1 copper, this is literally “buy achievement points”, and for some, it means spending actual money on a token.

Only ocd collectors/hoarders truly care about achievements tho. So if people like that want to waste their gold its not my issue.

Meanwhile normal people might go for an achievement if its a fun activity or there actually is a nice reward behind them.

I guess it depends on what their intention was with it in the first place, and I’m puzzled about that as it is! As a goldsink it seems rather… random and small-ish? But good point, I’ll make a suggestion and if it could work in any realistic way I hope they’ll consider it.

Personally i only have 760k gold and in my mind 70k gold for 10 achievement points and nothing else is actually diabolical

Cry more 70.000 g is nothing. Also if u dont want it dont get it.

What about that 50k dragonflying customization?

Of course. But do you put money somewhere in a random spot for no reason whatsoever on a regular basis? I know I don’t, there has to be a reason for it. 10 achievement points and that’s it seems odd.

Maybe at the end of the event it’ll all make sense and those who contributed get something. But if not, this really has me scratching my head lol.

That would make me … (counts on fingers) … a billionaire? :stuck_out_tongue:

I wasn’t even considering even buying this achievement, as I have no interested in achievements, otherwise I’d have a ton more. But because some people are outraged over the price of a 10 point achievement, I’m going to buy it later today.

70k is nothing tbh in dragon you should remember vanallia n tbc days gold was much harder to get. Tip this stage if exp you tend get more for collecting old content resourses as dragon price kinda crashed. I got pets worth 500k plus n running old raid can earn good gold.

Got a few mill

Im an achievement hunter (not really but i love to have some unusual ones) but i have not 70k to throw away.

I bought it for 2 days already but the progress bar says 40% so it seems to be only 50k gold for the achievement unless thats bugged somehow. Will see in 2 days I guess (havent been online yet today to buy it)

Would be amusing if all that did got the love rocket

Ybarra, it’s time to leave, you got fire.

I use it several times a day, it’s the best thing in WoW.

At least you get something for that.

You guys could buy my overpriced recipes instead

true. togheter with the rocket and the random dragonflight its the only mount i have in my bar!
