AQ Balancing

I did full clears of Temple of AQ and Ruins of AQ and both are severely undertuned specifically the trash. I understand that the raids have to somewhat be balanced around the casual player not having world buffs but this is well below that level. Most classes can’t even use half of their kit on trash, we 20 manned it and I couldnt barely hard cast 1 3s cast before each pack was dead. Health on bosses/trash as long as mana doesn’t become an issue does not make the content harder, it just allows classes to actually use their full spread of abilities. I don’t remember the last time I had a living bomb go off in raid, yes I play in a higher end guild so we have wb’s most of the time and full consumes etc but trash packs dying in 3s is even faster than original vanilla with 40 bis warriors. Health on bosses and trash has been incredibly low since sunken temple original launch. Devs need to not be afraid to gives trash and bosses health as long as mechanics are tuned properly, this allows all classes to get to use their full rotations on single target and AOE.

Agree, raid is too easy, phase 6 looks like a planned burnout for sod

Nothing screams more that they just wanna get done with SOD than this AQ tuning.

Agreed, AQ has been severely disappointing. I get that they want raids to be easy for casual players, but we are currently sacrificing the fun factor too much. I felt like I couldn’t press my buttons in this raid and SoD actually has fun buttons to press, so it is wasteful of the potential SoD has.

We should not be so afraid of the player base being so un knowledgeable that they need an AQ that is even easier than Era AQ. The world buff items are a step in the right direction to support those more casual groups that might lose buffs and struggle to progress further.

except that they nudge you to buy gold for the items. Blizzard is getting sleazy now…

Guys, if it is too easy (obviously easy for rank 1 guild in EU) maybe you should pay attation to retail mythic raids?

Trash was always useless and exhausting, no need to bump it or pump there. Let it stay as is.

maybe i do, but 1400 bars of Thorium would take me about half a year in this economy…
Not everyone can play for 8h per day, you know?

Dont buy thorium. I got 1.4k Arthas Tears from the neutral AH, 3g per stack. Thats enough to cover all the World Buffs for 210g.

If you think the difficulty is to low, how about fixing your own challenge?

Instead of running optimal comp, start thinking outside the box and make the raid harder.
Its the same thing every phase… people complaining about difficulty, but refuse to deal with it themselves. They rather have blizzard force harder difficulty for EVERYONE instead…

100% this. Who goes into a dungeon/raid and says “Shieeeet man, this raid is a solid 9/10, but if it just had more trash with higher health and annoying mechanics? 10/10!”

We all avoid as much trash as possible because its only there to pad the raid duration, nothing more atm.

Ironicly enough, people seemed to dislike Trial of the crusader in wotlk. A raid with no trash and only bosses.

I loved it though.

As did I. Think the issue is that its a short raid, rather then it having no trash.
