Dear Blizzard, what in the world have you Game Designing gentleman consumed while you where planning out the aquisition process of this Rune (which is the same for Warlocks and Mages).
It starts by needing either a dedicated warlock getting 4 Items out of RNG based felrifts, which takes this warlock atleast 80 minutes - with impossible next level jesus based RNG.
Else, you need a craftable item, which has a recipe obtained via RNG felrifts (obviously), with data collected showing to have a droprate of around 2%.
With this crafted item mages and priests can now fish for another items in rifts by themselves, rifts that are spread severly thin, have huge respawn timers that seem to follow a black lotus respawn mechanic, and OF COURSE are RNG AGAIN.
To sum it up, i am literally 16 scrolls of spatial mending deep into rift fishing, got another priest mate 8 scrolls deep in, a mage friend 4 scrolls deep. With our combination of 28 scrolls at a market value of over 100g, we have a sumptious total of ZERO items necessary to then go to the freakin leyline crystals to do the ACTUAL process of getting the rune.
I would call this the most ridiculous, tedious and straightup f´ed up process to get a rune i´ve seen so far in SOD, but i happened to play a warlock as my first SOD char and i still remember aggrend telling us that we warlocks are just bad to not find the Metamorphosis rune, 2 days before blizzard fixed the game and made the necessary items actually available in the game 
Im totally aware that nobody cares what im writing here and this is purely venting, because player feedback is something that is only appreciated if its blowing smoke into someones cavities.
But for real thats straight up a kind of game design that is actually disrespectful.
Edit: Oh and btw, congratulations on designing a spell that ignores the Z-Axis.
Not gonna tell you which one it is, its kinda obvious a priest spell. Do you not even do internal test on what is literally like 20-30 new abilitys at best ?

I am trying to get despair myself but no mages or warlocks in my guild have gotten any items needed to do this.
Also locking it behind other classes like that seems very wierd, later into the phase some might not even care to help priests getting their rune…

I thought they said they weren’t gonna do stupid rune unlocks this phase. Or was that just not backending them to be lvl 50 runes? With this RNG it sounds like you’ll be 50 before you end up getting it anyway.
it kinda is but i also think its a nice flavor of teamplay. I think every part of the aquisition is actually well thought out. Its just the sheer insanity of stacked up RNG, even with maximum cooperation of several players that leads to an absurd timesink. Like there are so many parts of the chain where a simple buff to droprates would fix it. Keep the felportals relatively rare, give us a high chance to get the leyline items out of it. It fixes the whole chain. Or massively increase the portal rate. Also a fix.
They lied, or just did not think the numbers through. Im 50 since 3 pm, and from then till around 1 hour ago where i decided id rather wait for a fix for that stuff, i was onto getting the rune. No chance. You literally need an army of no lifers or Rngeesus on your side to get the rune without spending what would be weels for someone with a healthy gaming shedule, and not someone like me whos playing sod for ~ 17 hours straight right now.
Edit: Im actually convinced its not that time intensive on purpose, and more of an oversight. Just like how voidzone literally ignores the floor and will dmg and pull everything that is below it, be it concrete stone or wooden planks. Its funny on a ship, on a tower, or a multi-layered dungeon 
I care, and I share your feeling. I decided to skip this rune for now, just not worth the gold or hassle. Whoever thought this was a good idea, look for another job.

To be fair the whole “i need another priest to share buff and learn rune” is so stupid imo. Got my UD to lvl 8, found out i need a troll priest in the eater kingdoms low lvl zone for me to learn homonculi xD wth?
You may be venting, but you’re spitting facts, and I agree with them.
