Hi there! Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to read yet another recruit post!
Hopefully this one will be a bit different, because we are a bit different from your normal guild.
We have a set of core values we are based on and follow: Aware (see and communicate with your fellow guildies), Generous (with your time for others and accepting people are different), Equal (treat everyone as you want to be treated, 'cos karma and all that), Down to earth (be you, don’t try to be something you are not and accept others are maybe a bit more outgoing or introvert)
These 4 values highlight what AGED is like as a guild. We have families, jobs, rubbish days and good days. We have either been there, done that when it comes to hard core raiding, not done anything in a few expansions or are maybe new to the game.
At the end of the day, we are mature minded adults who understand real life is more important than some pixels on the screen and we like the community feel of the guild as a fun social place to be. Guild avg is around 30+ years old.
When it comes to actually raiding we are focused, we expect you to turn up if you sign up. We want you to take responsibility for being geared, enchanted and have done a bit of cooking and have what passes for flasks these days.
We raid on Sundays from 8pm to 11pm Server Time so that one day a week we expect you to be online at 7.45 ready for invites, then we throw our first gnome at the boss 8pm. We don’t ask you raid every week but when you do we want you to be focused and concentrate on what we are there for. We wipe, sometimes hilariously but then we click that release button and quickly go over what happened and pull again. We don’t get mad, annoyed or start calling people out, we are a guild and not one person is better than the next. Since we only have that one evening a week this is when we put on our big boy pants and get serious.
If you need help in getting better we will try to help, if you accidently click on that mage portal that wasn’t there 2 seconds ago we will summon you back…
Outside raiding we run mythics, hc’s to help gear people up (alts or new members), sit on Discord and complain about the bad day we had or just sit and chill while others talk the hind legs off a donkey.
We don’t expect you to log on every day but we do want you to be an active, contributing member of our guild and not just log on for that one raid each week.
Class wise we are open for everyone atm, roles are a bit more limited when it comes to raiding (tanks and healing) but social again we are open for everything.
We would really like to talk to you if you are DPS and would like to join us in raids, doesn’t matter if you have never stepped into a raid in your life, as long as you can read up tactics and listen to our Raid Leader then all is good.
We will be starting on HC raiding the next couple of weeks so expect you to be serious about getting things splatted and moving through the raid.
“This sounds great Amber, sign me up” I hear you cry, first we will have a chat on Discord to make sure we are actually what you are looking for and that you will be a good fit for our community. Our guild is made up of a bunch of great people and we want to keep it that way, so yes we do screening chats to ensure we are not just inviting a 16 year old drama queen into our midst.
