Arcane mage 11.0.5

So after a fun couple of weeks in 11.0 with better gameplay then we’ve seen in years for arcane these new changes makes it kind of a disappointment to play.

We went from a somewhat controlled playstyle in Sunfury with some occasional procs like orb barrage, our tier, clearcasting to now be a complete rng machine.

The issue right here is that you don’t really know if you do good dps or not, cause the feeling isn’t always reflecting of your dps. This is cause of the insane RNG state SS got right now. It’s not just about if you get procs of OB, get your CC to NP to generate more splinters. But also with spellfrost teachings, will it proc and if it procs will it generate splinters on targets?

RNG is fun in a spec until a degree, but this is just wierd to play. To sometimes get maximum procs and do 4x the burst while still having the same feeling is not good gameplay. Remove some RNG elements of SS please.

  1. Make spellfrost teachings proc after x amounts of barrages/blasts to balance it in ST and AoE. Then it becomes a more controlled orb barrage. Or even put orb barrage instead of spellfrost teachings and increase it chance to proc from 10% to 15%.
  2. Splintering orbs needs to have a set amount, the feeling doesnt change if it procs 2 or 4 splinters but the difference on the meters are insane.
