Arcane Mage Fake Patchnotes

I was bored, and whiny, so i decided to create patchnotes on how i would like the mage to be, i staarted of with arcane and im gonna move to fire and eventually to frost too, id like to hear the opinion of other players below and what they feel it doesn’t work and is too broken, and what instead needs to be buffed or changed, im open to feedback and suggestions.

Arcane

  • Arcane Blast
    3% of base mana 40 yd range
    2.25 sec cast
    Requires Mage (Arcane)
    Requires level 10
    Blasts the target with energy, dealing (45.7% of Spell power) Arcane damage.

Each Arcane Charge increases damage by 60% and mana cost by 100%, and reduces cast time by 8%.

Generates 1 Arcane Charge.
Arcane Blast now deals 30% more damage in PvP combat.

Prismatic Barrier

Instant 25 sec cooldown
Requires Mage (Arcane)
Requires level 11
Shields you with an arcane force, absorbing [20 / 100 * Total health * (1 + Versatility)] damage and reducing magic damage taken by 15% for 1 min.

**The duration of harmful Magic effects against you is reduced by 25%. ** REMOVED

Arcane Barrage
40 yd range
Instant 3 sec cooldown
Requires Mage (Arcane)
Requires level 10
Launches bolts of arcane energy at the enemy target, causing (100 of Spell power) Arcane damage.

For each Arcane Charge, deals 35% additional damage

NEW PASSIVE: “The duration of harmful Magic effects against you is reduced by 25%.”
NEW PASSIVE: Improved Counterspell - Silence the Target for 4 seconds (frost, fire arcane)
NEW PASSIVE: Manacharged - Evocation grants 4 arcane charges during his channel
NEW PASSIVE: While Arcane power is active mage is immune to silence and interrupt effects
NEW PASSIVE: CriticalMana: Converts 25% of your mastery into critical strike chance


TALENTS:
LVL 15 Row

Amplification is now Baseline

  • NEW TALENT: Manaburst - Managem restore an additional 5% mana to you and your allies.

  • Rules of Three - When you gain your third Arcane Charge, the cost of your next Arcane Blast or Arcane Missiles is reduced by 100%.

  • Arcane Familiar -
    Summon a Familiar that attacks your enemies and increases your Mastery by 5% for 1 hour.

LVL 30 Row

  • Master of Time
    Talent
    Requires Mage (Arcane)
    Requires level 25
    Reduces the cooldown of Alter Time by 30 sec.

Alter Time resets the cooldown of Blink when you return to your original location.

  • Shimmer

    Instant 25 sec recharge

    Requires Mage
    Teleports you 20 yards forward, unless something is in the way. Unaffected by the global cooldown and castable while casting.

  • Slipstream
    Talent

    Arcane Missiles can be channeled while moving.

Evocation can be channeled while moving.

LvL 30 Row

  • Incanter’s Flow

    Magical energy flows through you while in combat, building up to 12% increased damage.

  • Focus Magic

    2% of base mana 40 yd range
    Instant
    Requires Mage
    Increases the target’s chance to critically hit with spells by 5% for 30 min. When the target critically hits your Intellect and chance to critically hit with spells is increased by 7% for 10 sec. Cannot be cast on self. Limit 1 target.

  • Rune of Power
    Talent
    30 yd range
    1.5 sec cast 45 sec recharge
    1 Charges
    Requires Mage
    Places a Rune of Power on the ground for 12 sec which increases your spell damage by 40% while you stand within 8 yds.

    Arcane Barrage deals 15% increased damage per target it hits.

    Requires level 35
    Direct damage you deal to enemies affected by Touch of the Magi, causes an explosion that deals (15% damage done) Arcane damage to 8 nearby enemies.

  • Nether Tempest
    Talent
    1.5% of base mana 40 yd range
    Instant
    Requires Mage (Arcane)
    Requires level 35
    Places a Nether Tempest on the target which deals (20% of Spell power) Arcane damage over 12 sec to the target and nearby enemies within 10 yards. Limit 1 target. Deals reduced damage to secondary targets.

Damage increased by 100% per Arcane Charge.
Mana cost increasced by 100% per Arcane Charge. (6% on 4 stacks)

Lvl 40 Row

  • Chrono Shift
    Talent
    Requires Mage (Arcane)
    Requires level 40
    Arcane Barrage slows enemies by 50% and increases your movement speed by 50% for 5 sec.

  • Ice Ward
    Talent
    Requires Mage
    Frost Nova now has 2 charges.

  • Ring of Frost
    Talent
    8% of base mana 30 yd range
    2 sec cast 45 sec cooldown
    Requires Mage
    Summons a Ring of Frost for 10 sec at the target location. Enemies entering the ring are incapacitated for 10 sec. Limit 10 targets.

When the incapacitate expires, enemies are slowed by 65% for 4 sec.

LVL 45 Row

  • Reverberate REWORKED

    Increasce the radius and damage of arcane explosion by 30%

  • Arcane Orb
    Talent
    1% of base mana 40 yd range
    Instant 20 sec cooldown
    Requires Mage (Arcane)

    Launches an Arcane Orb forward from your position, traveling up to 40 yards, dealing (109.2% of Spell power) Arcane damage to enemies it passes through.

Grants 1 Arcane Charge when cast and every time it deals damage.

Conjure a radiant spark detonating for Arcane damage equal to 250% of your Spellpower (2000int = 7000 damage for reference)

The target takes 10% increased damage from your direct damage spells, stacking each time they are struck. This effect ends after 4 spells.

VENTHYR

Mirrors of Torment Venthyr

1.5 sec cast 2 min cooldown

Requires level 48
Conjure 3 mirrors to torment the enemy for 25 sec. Whenever the target attacks, casts a spell, or uses an ability, a mirror is consumed to inflict (100% of Spell power) Shadow damage and their movement and cast speed are slowed by 15%. This effect cannot be triggered more often than once per 4 sec.

The final mirror will instead inflict (151% of Spell power) Shadow damage to the enemy, Rooting and Silencing them for 4 sec.

Whenever a mirror is consumed

Fixed a bug that made mage consume clearcasting with arcane explosion when Arcane Empowerement should have prevented it

**Managem can now be properly used in arena enviroment.

Spriest has a 4sec silence as a kick and its cost a 45sec cd :hushed: not worth it.

why not, interrupt barely does anything to some specs specs nowdays

Improved CS and POM Poly back would be good things for Arcane.

This would be a big buff for arcane which blizz doesn’t like from Cata … This company doesn’t like this spec so don’t count on these buffs bro
