Arcane surge now useless

After damage reduction you do 50% of enemy hp and go oom, completely waste of rune slot.

Maybe buff the damage to 80-90% or rework rune so it use half mana and 1 min cd

i don’t think touching any abilities and runes is a good idea until they get rid of this dmg aura nonsense, or at least until we bring it down to an acceptable level.

my shaman is currently immortal in pvp - it takes a team of at least 3 guys to take me down, anything less and i win.

this is because the damage aura is turning earth shield, riptide and my maelstrom heals into i-win buttons. i could remove maelstrom from the equation and nothing would change.

at the same time my priest dots are now tickeling people for no damage, i can put all my dots, including my racial + 5 stacks of shadow weave on someone and watch it barely get them to 60% from 100%.

i was ganking in gadgetzan earlier, and i saw a group of summon sellers… i kid you not, the level 1’s survived 2 ticks of my shadow word: pain before they dropped… A LEVEL 1 CHARACTER SURVIVED TWO TICKS OF RANK 6 SHADOW WORD: PAIN…

meanwhile, if i have vampiric embrace up, a full stack of warlock dots - including his life drain, barely ticks on my hp bar… its just a fight that lasts until we both literally run oom, and then the warlock finishes me off because he can tap once or twice for mana, while i got nothing after i’ve blown all my cooldowns.

yeah, i think its safe to say this aura has to go before we make any changes to literally anything.

No, im not a shaman.

I want a useful rune

There’s no acceptable level, you can’t fix PvP by just reducing damage. That ignores mana costs, healing, defensive abilities, mobility.

You can reduce dmg by 99% Priests will still have Dispersion. Some abilities aren’t affected by dmg nerfs.

Womp womp, good riddance. Braindead ability.
