How did you came up with this nonsense in topic about broken game mechanics? I don’t care what’s your reason to play. You should not care about my reasons. You have no friends to talk?
I think Kiryaa is just curious as to the nature of competitive classic gaming with old content that has been completed before and why people - like yourself - put so much time and effort into it unless your a professional gamer for instance.
I’m not sure if your in the right frame of mind to reply sensibly though, missing out on an item seems to be having an affect on you.
I hope you still find a raiding spot suited to your talents if you don’t find the item you need and you don’t have to join group’s to
They are cute though
I’ll let you pet him if your not mean to him, he’s called elmo
I think people enjoy doing classic content “competitively” for various reasons, your on a leader board / you get to track your performance and stats, stats are cool, its like being in a football league in a way, seeing if you can improve etc.
There is an issue in that, not everyone who plays competitively does so like a gentleman and it draws certain types of players that only do it to on other players and feel superior / to enjoy excluding others
The mechanic isn’t broken though. It’s working just like it did in Cata meaning it’s pure randomness. There was never a bad luck protection involved with it for better or worse. So technically you’re not asking for Fix, you’re asking for a change.
Well maybe youre not that good at your favourite activity if you need the archeology epic to be successful
Open wowhead. Archaeology. Maybe Just Zinrokh. Choose any page of comments. Randomly. Scroll to any state. Randomly. Read comments (from the very 1st release of archaeology).
That’s why it was REMOVED from retail.
Okay. I got it. Trolls respawn placed.
Peace
Did I say otherwise? Never said it’s good or bad. I said it’s not broken. It is in the end fundamentally unfun activity people only do for the reward. Adding Bad Luck Prot would not make it any more fun. It would just give you estimated time needed to suffer through it.
i mean archaeology now is just so wrong, imagine farming 12 hours a day for days or weeks and not even knowing if you’re gonna get the thing you want, this not fun at all, if you find this normal then somthing is wrong with you, Blizzard can make easy changes like one of these:
1- by making a limit on how much digging you need to do before getting what you want …
2- not being able to get the same item duplicated 10 times or something like that
3- choose only dwarf sites to spawn for you for exemple ( even this can lead to really unlucky situations )
so please make this insanity end
Pretty much same was with mounts in ZG/strat, people farmed them for years and didnt know if they will get them.
Think before writing. People did more solves than tries you can make for mount in 20 years
Doesnt mean they waste more time. Tho its not first time people crying about rng
10 min zg farm each 3 days is around 20 hours play time in a year, ppl did that in less than 2 days in archaeology
Some doin it on 2-4 twinks for 2+years, i rly see no reason to make it easyer. Its just time sink proffession with some fine rewards, same as ZG farm.
even with 2-4 twinks for 2+years you can’t compare that to archaeology
Predicting “Why bosses have enrage. Nerf. Overpowered” in a 1-2 weeks
said the retail player with no logs… way to many trolls here
186 dwarf solves later got the staff, now to pray for zinny
Your RNG still isn’t too bad yet.
1 - (1-0.01)^334 puts you 96.5% of getting it within those solves.
450 puts you at 99% so until you get past 450 you RNG is still okay. You should get it on average on your next 100 solves unless you insanely unlucky.
i can confirm that you can get Pterrordax Hatchling at 450 skills since i just got it, did they fix that or … ?!
Yes, but still no lock protection
