It’s a small bonus (around 0.2% to 0.4%?) per gem, and up to each player if they want to go for it or not. It’s no different than going for best enchants or no enchants. The major benefit in TWW is with the metagem, which gets more powerful with each different color of gems.

the gems give a bonus to the blasphemite gems (So like extra speed or crit damage) - the bonus well, stacks up and some classes enjoy it immensely.
anyone doing anything serious in this game buys the gems so don’t mind the stat value.

I don’t remember it ever being any different - other than MOP Remix, scaling on stats was hilarious.
But enchants do give more value by slot I would say. In the end it’s all up to meeting some % stat thresholds.
I also have an alt with JC, and I can’t believe you unlocked all of that, hats off to you sir

Do you mean a JC specific bonus? Like your own slightly more powered up gem? If not mastering, or maxing a Profession just makes it easier to craft higher end items for either crafting to buyers or selling on the AH through multicraft/reso procs

The max gems you can have is like 8 right? That’s a pretty chunky amount of throughput, enough to make a difference on your details

Gems lost their value since wotlk. Same as enchants. Its more like a “polish” lvl at this point.

You can add 2 sockets easy to rings and necklace, that’s x6 the stats of the gem.

But that’s not JC specific. Everyone can do that.

I think OP is talking about the old profession perks we used to get.

Wrong choice of words.I didnt mastered all sub specializations…But im looking at it and its all so small.Blizz need to make profesions more important.Like,10-15 % for all mastered.

Pretty much the only perk left of benefit that saves money is Alchemy that doubles the duration of flasks.

I miss professions granting perks to you. Some even gave spells that were useful for a short while, right after the rank got updated.

Professions in the past were randomly better or worse than certain dungeon or raid tiers.
During WLK they offered bonuses but that made them feel mandatory.

Since WoW is a gear grinding game and high end PvE and PvP folks like to receive rewards for playing said high end content, crafting is generally an inferior option.

GW2 by comparison allows you to craft top tier gear, but the point of that game is mostly to become skilful and enjoy cosmetics and content. The people from the two communities don’t have much of an intersection.

Kind of like selective breeding, each game attracts its own type of player, so neither can change. Which is fine, except you are limited to each content unless you find a way to enjoy both.

I did not really like the perks, it should be more balanced and you should do the profession you like, instead of choosing profession for perks.
