Are All Elves Kaldorei

As far as we know the Night Elves doesn’t wanted a new well. Illidan saw it as a source of his power like Highborne. Blizz shiwed us only the offspring of the Highborne as addicted and sometimes power hungry creatures. I mean we have also Moonguard Elves which survived 10.000 years without any well. No, they weren’t Highborne.

When the Well of Eternity imploded, the Moon Guard lost the greatest part of its power.

And in addition to this we don’t know what happened in the 10000 years since they lost the original Well. Maybe they got over their addicition or survived on the many Mana-crystals around Suramar (and inside their fortress.)

But it seems that this mana crystals aren’t enough for the nightfallen. Also I found this one.

Suffice it to say that the academy was cautious in its application of these new-found powers - what few writings remain indicate that the [mages] there worried about addiction, a problem my race suffers from to this day.

This restraint put the mages of Mennar in opposition to [Queen Azshara] and her [highborne] lackeys, who sought ever greater power with wild abandon, throwing caution to the wind and delving into ever more dangerous applications of the arts.

They didn’t. They accepted the possible consequences of death and withering. Which totally happened. To many of them. What cured them was the restoration of the sunwell.

Might want to tell the poor High Elven Wretched at Quel’lithien that…

Both High and Blood Elves have the same biological need. The difference was in how they sustained it. High Elves are also addicted, just as much as Blood Elves. They just survived on items, not on animals/people.

Not even cultural, its a political allegiance, that’s all. Blood Elf and High Elf Culture is the same, apart from what colour clothes you wear. Blizzard state that High Elves have no unique culture of their own.

Fighting in the Twisting Nether and on Legion worlds where the very air is permeated by magical energies. Canonically she had green eyes before she became a Void thing. Any High Elf who went to Outlands did. That’s the official word from Blizz, and backed up by Quest text at the Allerian Expedition base in Terrokar forest. They just didn’t want to make it ‘confusing’ which is a bit patronising, but I guess I can understand it.

Whoah, The Blood Elves by the original Well, and later by the Sunwell, then draining Mana Creatures of their life force, then the Sunwell again. The Fel Crystals were in Silvermoon for one very specific reason, and it was not as ‘Food’. They kept the floating spires and the very buildings stable, remember, Silvermoon was created, and rebuilt, magically. Not with bricks and mortar, but magically. That’s what the Fel Crystals were for. The whole Blood Elf/High Elf split was about the latter refusing to drain living creatures, it was nothing to do with Fel.

Hes right in terms of them not being cured but this isn’t a good example as i remember a quest for that and it states it was due to an item they brought in.

Apparently all the elves at the lodge became wretched. This happened after Ranger Lord Hawkspear found an item of seductive energy

This merely shows they were not immune to whatever item this is…and it had very negative effects. However both Blood Elves and High Elves have access to the Sunwell the High elves just resist their addiction rather than feed it. I don’t think any Blood/High/variant has ever been cured completely.

It was, and whilst I think it was strongly implied that it was left there (The Item) as a trap for them, it was clearly so magically potent that they couldn’t help themselves but to drain from it. I mean that’s how you become Wretched. They’re the opposite of Withered, its what happens when you intake too -much- Mana, not too Little, so that item must have had a real allure to them, which means…still addicts.

Yes, as it stands currently, neither has any need to augment their addiction, the Sunwell provides for all, worldwide. They’re not cured, they just don’t need to -do- anything to sate the addiction. Doesn’t even need physical proximity, so the High Elves are equally as fine as the Blood Elves.

Heh, Cheers. I just do a fair bit of homework when making characters, comes with being on an RP realm I guess…

Would do the same if i wasn’t only a occasional-rp player. Main-char is pure PvE
I find the work you do for your character really impressive from the “outside”-point of view.
