I’m trying to sell a few rare ones to move gold between servers, but none of them are selling lads. It’s level 25 versions of Lanticore and Porcupette. Been putting them up for days, but no one’s biting. And the prices are inline with what’s currently in the AH
Also how much extra do you put on a level 25 pet compared to a level 1? Not that much I’m guessing?
Pets do sell, but slowly. Very slowly. Very, very slowly.
The price difference between a level 1 and a level 25 is usually nothing. There used to be a differential in MoP, but it was decreasing steadily and now it is zero.
Some of them have gone up since the new patch hit and they are now desirable for the rep from pet battles for the two new zones.
The pet market is completely irrational.
You do have an short opportunity, already closing, to make gold on the few pets in the main strats for Naz and Mech rep. I saw one case hast night where the price was 4500 G for a LEVEL ONE GREEN Ikky. /smh
Ikky can be picked up off the ground in Talador, and needs to be levelled and stoned to Blue before use. The price for a Blue level 25? 32,000.
Crazy.
Anyway, pets like the Lanticore and the Porcupette are very slow sellers. Not important for any battles, much less the most recent ones, have been available for a long time, of interest only to collectors fillin the empty slots. They do sell, but not regularly.
One rule of thumb is that levelling to 25 is worth 1K, but in an already insane market, who knows?

Like I said, irrational.
Most of the hardcore or semi hardcore pet tamers are already have their setup for the most of the situation and have enough upgrade materials stored to upgrade what they missing from their own roster.
Yet you can get quite a bit of cash from new pets from pet dungeon rares and slimes. Because some collectors have no patience and want everything right now!
I sold first to Alarm-O-Dogs from the last pet dungeon for 150-200k because I know that I can get more in a few weeks but prices will drop drastically.
Yeah pets are a bit like transmog, sometimes they sell instantly, other times it takes a month.
New pets, raiding with leashes pets and Ikky, Tonk and the Kneebiter for rustbolt and nazja rep sell pretty fast at the moment but otherwise it’s very hit or miss how fast they go.
The slowest pet sale I had was about 6 months for an ethereal trader. I lowered the price to the lowest I could without losing gold.
