Fancied trying SOD in prep for phase 7…are warriors really as bad at dps as the reviews say?
Yeah they are pretty bad on dps compared to other classes and need a druid in the raid to compete.

If the raid does not have wild strikes… then it’s a pretty meme raid set up.

Im well aware of that and i dont join such groups. I had a guild before so was none issue.
My point being that warriors need alot of outside help for “ok” damage, while other classes can do better damage without any outside help.
I’m usually top of the meters, or top 3 in my guild runs.
Realistically your raid should have all buffs available anyway, if not your composititon is garbage and your raid leader sucks.
Warrior is a fun class to play, if you want to play a warrior then go ahead.

Yeah you are top 6% of the playerbase while some in ur raid is the bottom 10%.
Yes im not disagreeing with you that comp should be so optimal.
But my point still stands that warriors got ok damage while other classes are doing alot better (if u play good that is).
And i love warrior gameplay. Esp in vanills. But cant help to feel they kinda made warriors less fun to play by adding more uptime abillitys to press.

No you don’t understand, wowhead says warriors are bad. Wowhead is 100% right and every player on this board should be comparing themselves to the top 1% of players.
i think most things eventually got less fun with lots of fireworks abilities to press tbh

No but logs says warrior is 14th spot as a dps class.
Arms is last spot 
Its fine to be a warrior tank if you prefer tanking but cannot recomend dps warrior.
Didn’t SOD Devs explicitly state before they launched SOD they wanna let warriors bleed for all their years of dominance?

No, that was the ‘community’. And warriors went from godmode in Classic to absolute garbage in TBC allthe way up to ICC, we already paid the price for being the Classic kings.
It was more along the lines of keep warriors the same and buff everyone else to warrior level, which they did achieve fairly well I’d say for PvE.

Don’t worry feral/war are still the biggest dps it’s just that AQ is a terrible raid for melee.
but most war player are terrible since it’s the most played class in classic.
Baseline classic warrior is already at SoD power levels honestly. Even if they perform worse than other DPS in SoD (which is highly questionable), they’re still more than enough to clear any content. In fact runeless warrior is more than enough to clear SoD content already
