Will grey and white items from quests completed before 10.0.5 be automatically added to appearances collections? Quest rewards are already bind on pickup so do we need to keep the actual items until the patch goes live?
No, it’s too much work to track all previously obtained items.
But the game already tracks what quests you have completed to prevent you from completing them twice (or more).
If you already possess these items, they will become bind-on-equip, and you’ll just need to equip them to obtain the appearance.
Items that you do not have in your inventory when the patch goes live will have to be obtained and equipped for the system to register them.
My question is about quest rewards which are bind-on-pickup. And there is no way to complete the quests again and obtain the items.
The quoted statement applies to world drops that are not bind-on-equip currently and can be obtained again from the mobs and bosses.
There’s no information about whether if previously earned quest grey/white items will also be added to appearances, yet.
At worst, there is by redoing all existing ones on a new toon but that’s quite a ride.
That’s why I started this thread hoping that someone will provide some information.
The interesting thing is that the items from quests are already soulbound. I am wondering whether I have to keep them in the bank and once the patch is live to equip them but they they are already soulbound so they should be connected to my character.
You should keep all grey/white items you obtain in your bank. I’ve got mine filled and will equip them once the patch goes live and hope that the items without any armor tag on them, stays that way.
With that I meant CS has no information about game development until its officially announced, it’s best to keep an eye out on CM Kaivax or the Blizzard news/WoWhead.
Will do. It shouldn’t be too long before the patch goes live.
lol if blizzard cant even fix the expansion bugs, slowdowns, stutters, geodata, queues issues you think they are gonna do that?
keep dreaming in wonderland.
