Say what you want, the reality does not change. Classic guilds are 100x more social compared to retail guilds and that’s because of difficulty difference.
You can also say what you want but people who like doing more difficult stuff are not “automatically 100% without a doubt” - no lifers, antisocial, lives in their moms’s basement and etc.
guilds which are just there for mplus die pretty fast every season, because for 5 man content you dont need a guild…its you on a few pals on a voice chat and go.
I have ~10 chars on the guild I am in and there are 484 character, where around 60-70 individual players are in. But yeah its end of season, most player are done atm.
sounds like a dungeon tool with extra steps
Im in a primary mythic raid guild, we do mplus to gear for raiding/gear alts, do an altraid and play outside of wow too
If you wanna connect to others, i can tell, guilds which last an expansion and more, do better in playing/socialising. Even if you just join as a community member and not as core part. Many guilds are just looking for ppl, which are helping at the start of the season to gear their roster and give these “lootbodies” at the end the mythic raid kill av.
That’s absolutely not true. At least not in all cases.
In pugs you can take geared players who go for vault and barely need anything.
In guild you can have people gearing bad alts, taking all gear including that one thing you needed. You need to think straight, bro and not have some idyllic vision of the guild. I’ve seen enough andy officer-friends or bad alts taking all the loot. Not to mention in pug you can win your bis on first roll and in cringe guilds you might be last to get the “bis” item. No, guilds’ potential benefits don’t outweigh the cringe and problems associated with them.
4/8 mythic in TWW
in DF s4 - i even did 6/8 in vault with pug :V and was doing anywhere between 1 to 5 bosses, depending on a pug or how I chared about a char.
Meanwhile, I also tried with one char with a “friendly” guild that was 18 guildies and 2 pugs (me included) for a few IDs and I killed rasha mythic with a pug and never managed rasha with those guys because of problems associated with “bad andy friends” who were dragging the raid down too hard. I left them after one 3h “Guild raid” that barely killed sikran and it was so bad, with so many wipes and cringe i just didnt care about semi-guild or whatever. And frankly this is your average guild experience. I’m not talking hardcore HoF guilds that do 6-8/8 every season and farming with super cringe toxic atmosphere and requirements. “Guild” means everything and frankly finding a good, consistent one that won’t kill your spirit is… a lot.
Literally every guild I’ve been in it’s Main > Alt… the hell kind of guild hands out gear to alts over mains?
The “everyone shall feel good” kind of guild.
Still doesn’t make sense, cause that’s a guaranteed way to loose members when a main raider is put on the side over someone’s alt.
Literally nobody is sticking around for that in any serious raiding guild.
Guessing that’s one of those “social” guilds with 1000 characters in it… I avoid them like the plague.
