pretty much all my characters have switched for herb/alch. using them both every day to my advantage when doing m+ and other things. Cooking is also very good.
i like them all and find them very useful.

the game is generous in terms of item, on the quality of those there is much to discuss. losing stats on 3 slot has itâs price in term of stat balance, you have to be mega lucky to drop what you need.
crafted boe could have been a solution but no, better make everything boe so you have to grind until you die to drop a damn haste/mastery ring.
The real problem with this game is that nothing but nothing is on any form of progression. So you start a profession, do a few dungeons and before you have finished the starter you are level 39 and still doing copper. In a blink of an eye you are stacked with blues and the prof wants a green and enchanting wants dust . It all gets totally garbelled as you enter Outland / Northrend ⊠rinse repeat. Canât stay in one place long enough in the game to do anything worthwhile.
Itâs easier than in pre-Legion expansions, because you can run as many M+ dungeons as you want, and arenât limited to getting higher level drops once a week like before. Chasing for gear is part of a MMORPG, I feel. I still donât have a better off-hand than a 370 one, and I also need a worthwhile second trinket. Sure, Iâd love to be able to craft those, but then every slot would need to have craftable BoEs that are of end game quality.
Professions such as herbalism and mining help you level, so they are useful in a sense. Engineering gives you access to an auction house in Boralus and Zandalar, so to me personally these 3 professions are worth it. The rest I have not really bothered with.
for me (my personal preferences)
my main on a server is a herbalist/alchemist (this allows me to craft my own flasks and pots, and as an added bonus flasks last twice as long so i get to save up on them)
i have (because offcourse i do) alts that have inscription, enchanting and jewelcrafting (JC actually became easier for me this expansion because my main is a plate and so can supply the ore required for JC from his own scrapping of BoP gear).
any other alts usually have herb/mining as all the armor professions are useless time and resources sinks, i may keep some of the old professions (IE, my other paladin has blacksmithing, but heâs been around with it since TBC and has some really rare recipes)
Id like to know what substances they are abusing in that department TBH.
they killed a lot of stuff due to oversimplification. crafting is not worth doing anymore. its easier and quicker to just run a mythic+
theyâve been dead for years now since WOD. I used to enjoy jewelcrafting alot , but now itâs a joke. Same for engineering etc =[
How is crafting a 415 azerite helmet or a set of 415 rings a joke?
The other profressions can craft a 415 trinket (thats great for healers), 415 hands and legs.
It just takes 2x Normal clear + 2x HC clear +1 boss mythic to be able to craft one 415 item, so if you clear more than 1 boss mythic per week it takes 1.5 weeks to be able to craft one 415 item.
I personally would take engineering on every main, due to all the other gimmiks that are great for PvE.
I did. Some toys are just to helpful to pass. Repairs, mailbox, my favorite is the lootarang.
Still iâm not crafting the 415 head. Too expensive for a piece with mediocre traits.
On this, the other crafting profession with 2 items with random stats got the better deal.
they not worth bothering with at all just learn to M+
Idk. for rogue the traits arenât to bad for ST and the materials to craft cost like 3k gold total (excluding expulsum and breath).
If youâre a mythic raider they have a lot of value, if only for the possibility to be able to trade other azerite pieces in the first few weeks.
EDIT: Donât forget free goblin gliders, an AH in Dazarâalor, a 30k shield every 10 mins(every pull or every other pull) and a god damn BREZ tool for when your druid healer canât move out of the fire.
that i have high hope for, turned out to be utter crap. a battle rez with cast time, that works only some time, that works only in melee range, and itâs shared with the other brez cdâs.
totally useless.
iâve crafted 5 of them when the patch dropped and iâve used 1 on a m+ boss.
You have to make it worse than the normal BRs and i donât think those restrictions are to bad.
Well if it fails, you still get rezzed just with 1 hp i think.
I have used probably 10-20 since season 2, especially in runs where we had no BRs it saved us a bunch of times(Ressing 3 people on the end boss of SoS+12).
I donât bother anymore. Pointless.
Itâs too restricted. It should be either instant cast, or without the melee requirement. Having both makes it too situational to have real usage.
I use my enchanting and jewelcrafting the most. I donât use it to make gold but I just do my own things.
Yes, BFA is the first expansion Iâve just not bothered with them.
