I used to play until my lvl 50 char get killed by lag. I recently had a nostalgia attack and wanted to know if ppl are still playing the servers. I am thinking about give it a try again.
Also, if I try again, is someone interested in play together?
There are still players mostly because SOD P1 cooled down, but I think HC will be going low pop again when P2 SOD comes up

I think they have SSF on the PTR last time I checked for HC.
Don’t think it will be a new realm but a toggeable option. More official information when they’ve finalised with how it will be.

I think there will be a new SSF realm. But that’s my opinion and I haven’t seen it anywhere.
I hope it will an option on the HC servers so you can play a ssf character but still stay in touch with my hc guildies
Nek’Rosh horde side is not too desolate. We have 2 guilds linked via Greenwall with about 850-900 members each, this does include alts but still a lot of people playing. Every 5 days the inactive/dead get purged so the characters that are in the guilds are actually played. There are 3 or 4 raiding guilds active on horde side. I think 1 on alliance side, not too sure about their status
On Nek’Rosh WB pops at least once a day. So not dead either 
i read about that is only a checkbox while creating a char on a current HC server. And it’s SF - not SSF - you can still create groups, afaik. and if you reached level 60, SF will be disabled on that char.

If you’re asking about the server’s physical well being… yes it’s still alive. But as for players on these servers… small and dwindling. I login form time to time to check. Give is another week or so cause you may see a slight increase in players returning who want to see what this Self Found is all about. but I doubt they will stay very long knowing they can’t send mail or use the AH. Plus it wouldn’t hurt if the server was wiped clean and everyone playing on the Self Found servers was forced to start new.
Why do you want the server wiped clean if you can’t trade?

You misunderstand. All he wants is purist, bot-free heaven for him and friends Wipe all servers, make SF mandatory on one and devil take the rest of us - is what he like.
But if he and his friend are playing Self found, it doesn’t matter how much gold bots are farming because self found characters cannot buy it.
He thinks matter, because he sees people around with gear from GDKP or from AH and think of bots.

I don’t think you understand what SF means. They HAVE to start new since they can’t trade or mail to and from other characters. The only thing they can do is group together for questing or dungeons, wich is in fact voluntary. Stop trying to tell how other people should enjoy a game

Which server you play? I play Nek’Rosh mostly, and not recognize this description. Server much alive, AH quite good, can be hard find healer for higher end dungeons, … but no wonder it IS HC after all
