We are 3 months away from TWW, and we still haven’t caught a glimpse of a tree change.
Is it even happening ? Because I won’t bother to play if it isn’t.

Did you check the beta patchnotes?
The blue post that had like 100+ lines of changes for every single class in the game, apart from shaman and hunters?
Hunters are getting their changes next week, I think we getting ours later. I find it highly unlikely with the work and iteration that goes to other classes that we won’t see the same on shaman.
It will happen, although it remains to be seen if it will be good.

But unfortunately, as long as I don’t see any explicit mentions of a change, it is not happening.

I have to agree with Cubitus…
Lots of hopium. Il still play RShaman thats for sure… but for the moment, the talent trees as they are give rise to perverted builds.
But from what I tested, the best build I could get was a degenerate build of Farseer Hero Talents with Ondulation (instead of Unleash Life, as the Hero talent tree intends).
Primordial Capacity is so good. Toguether with Flash Flood it basically means that you dont require TideBringer for M+…
It basically makes Tidal Waves and Flash Flood permanent buffs. So you got sub-second Healing Waves and Chain Heals. And together with the Tier Set bonus we will get in S1 its absolutely bonkers.
Everything else is absolutely irrelevant. In all talents, in all Hero Talents.
And as you can imagine, this perverted talent choice basically stems from how our talent tree is built.
So unless they do some talent tree tuning, we will get nerfed to the ground once again.

Those are the patchnotes for beta. With minimal effort, you can see that in the class changes, DH, hunters, shamans, and to a lesser degree priests have almost no class changes.
Dooming on the forums might be fun from time to time, but we already know that the hunter changes are coming this week. I would wait 2 more weeks for out pass.
I do not expect that much from the changes, and I expect a good number of people disliking them. I also have negative feedback about the fact that they got 2 months of feedback on dks and locks, while we have 3 months until the expansion and we still cannot give quality feedback for shamans.
But to actually expect that we will go into the expansion with no changes at all, that I cannot comprehend.
I think they are just going to run us with our current talent tree. I think with the level of changes that they need to make to the talents, they would have had to make the changes earlier in the cycle so they can get proper feedback and make tweaks.
I think it speaks volumes how late we got our hero spec talents and we havn’t had new spell animations . They clearly don’t really know what they want to do with shamans and haven’t for some time. Its usally a numbers increase to make them competitive and a that will do. Its been like this since the legion rework
Say, what does it take for PR to write “Shaman general & spec tree changes are on the way, we expect them to hit beta soon.” ?
Whoever wrote those beta notes you posted clearly doesn’t care about showing a difference in treatment between classes and the effect that may have on their players. → It doesn’t make me want to buy TWW.
I don’t think they see Shaman as a priority for TWW.
I don’t think they mind us knowing, and frankly, I don’t think they care.
