I went to Stormwind and was just given this quest:
Does that mean Anduin is back, or did no one tell bother telling the Goblins the King is not here?
Now, now, no reason to be modest Maw Walker.
Seriously, how hard core would it be if you had to run Torghast to give Anduin the bracelets. EVERY SINGLE DAY!
And I go in and smash some bosses every week even when I’ve seen them die in cutscenes!
On a more fun note, I went to Undercity and gave Sylvanas a bracelet today…
You can always put it on his grave…
Or on the front door of Sylvanas’s and Anduin’s love shack.
Yes, she’s doing Flirt with Disaster achievement
Do the populous know that Anduin is missing? Or is this a secret?
I know early on (pre-patch) we were doing the quests to find out what happened it was still done clandestinely.
I think they didn’t want to cause panic or something.
Since Alliance is not a totalitarian regime, I’m under the impression they wouldn’t keep the king being gone hidden from the population for too long. The House of Noble knows since they’ve appointed Turalyon in his place, it’s known that the Hero of Azeroth entered the Shadowlands, someone probably witnessed Anduin being abducted. I cannot imagine it still being kept secret.
There were issues with Baine too as he’s not usually located in TB
Greatest thing is to just see Sylvanas standing around in Undercity while still having the title of warchief. Crazy that nobody looked for her there!
It’s not a Democracy either.
Of course the Nobility (upper Houses at least) will know, they have to keep order. But I’m not sure there has been an announcement to the man on the street. In medieval times the people knew little of the monarchy, the nobility or the ruling regime.
Warcraft is not a medieval setting, let me remind you. And if a citizen can literally go into Oribos without much issue (looking at Ol’ Emma here who appears once you progress far enough into the campaign), I simply cannot imagine this information being hidden away from the public for long. Maybe during the prepatch itself when it all was much fresher, but not after expansion release.
Fair point. Perhaps the knowledge is out there. I was just wondering…
The “does anyone actually know the King is gone” is a fun lore angle to explore and would be fun to RP out, but everything points towards his abduction having become somewhat common knowledge, even if the exact details might remain unknown to many.
Yeah I need a relog every day for him to show up.
All those are illusions created by mages. Wonderful life-like decoys.
