Fair enough, forgotten about that one. Havent read any wow book tho so those are out of my perspective.
Yes, in the context of ageing, it uses the examples of Greek and Roman gods who die in the mythology rather frequently by being destroyed by other gods, giants and titans. Even in normal literature, vampires are immortal as they donāt age and are undead, but they still can be destroyed.
Immortal, even in the context of gods, has never meant indestructible; it simply means they donāt die of old age or are timeless. Even in the original wow table, demons and undead are classified as some of the only immortal species.
Never actually said this, poor wording with the demon example.
Yes you did, you said they are near immortal when they are intact immortal.
Sigh never the less⦠Nelfs were never immortal. Just unaging, there is a difference. That you are unwilling to accept that aint my problem.
And yet they constantly call me mortal as a DK or Undead, it is rather infuriating.
I think in general the word immortal is used interchangeably. The Nelves never aged nor had health issues, I think such was said in a book by Tyrande. Still able to be killed. Same goes for the Dragons.
The whole thing was the point of the flame druids so I am in agreement that it is weird they havenāt been blessed as well; one might argue that Nozdormu didnāt bless them with immortality again because it isnāt just the Nelves that are around now, there are a whole load of races and that would cause quite the drama. Like I said it leaves a few questions unanswered that will hopefully be resolved in further weeks/patches.
Itās just an issue with the writing of the game, all undead are technically immortal so long as they donāt rot away.
I mean, they had 5 World Trees and lost 4 so far, at some point i would also stop blessing these Trees just for the Elfs to fumble it every single time.
They only blessed one. Norzdormu refused to bless teldrassil
Only two were blessed. Nordrassil and then Fandral went on a rampage of trying to grow trees to get their immortality back and the dragons said āUhm, no.ā until Cataclysm when only Alexstrasza and Ysera blessed Teldrassil.
Technically 2, Ysera and Alexstraza blesses Teldrassil when Malfurion and Tyrande got married.
But not with the ability to grant them immortality which is what we a referencing. So only one got the blessing.
Thereās a meme going round of the flights being blessed and us raiders who did all the work just like
and I have to agree with it. I know the whole point of the expansion was reaching this point but it does make me laugh.
Itās because the dragons donāt actually deserve the power. You can make an argument with Tyr giving it to them due to the fight with gala but Azeroth granted them it for no reason.
Which is Nozdormus doing and to be fair, he isnāt a big fan of fooling around with Time, so itās quite obviouse why he hasnāt blessed Teldrassil, so yeah.
I think Azeroth granted it because she is like āUh oh. Void is coming to get me. Guys, halp.ā and the whole āTitans are not the good guys you think they areā my theory being that world souls are not Titans but Titans are ordered world souls who go around ordering others and turn them into Titans. Bringing Tyr back is going to be interesting.
He did it because he thought it was selfish and he may say heās not a fan of messing around with time but he does it more than anyone else.
This is slowly turning into that blood elf guys kind of post with his āalliance biasā but Dragons instead⦠whats the name of this expansion again?
I guess you would know since you technically are one if you are just here to derail the point leave.
Non the less 4/5 Trees isnāt a good Track record, to be fair, itās crazy how Teldrassil for example didnāt burn down in Cataclysm when Deathwing litteraly flew by it.
And to be fair, iām not sure if i ever want to see another Blessed World Tree, that gives the Nelf immortality, they have been around long enough for one life time.
