I was wondering about this because i asked myself what might have happened to characters like Rook, He and Sun who became bosses in SoO after their demise. But since you killed them (again) in the original timeline they should’ve ended up somewhere in the Shadowlands, shouldn’t they? Pretty much any prominent pandaren who died at some point should be there but i haven’t seen anyone so far. Or did i just miss them?
Probably forgot to ascend and are drunk at the Stormstout Brewery.
Or something to do with China. Pick your poison.
Or they just forgot. Afaik most can just chose their new body. For example the Maldraxxian let you choose any body you wish as shown with Alexandros and Vashj (and if you prove unworthy (killed) you are turned into literal ammunition for the Maldraxxian war machinery) . The Kyrians turn you into one of the blue skins and the venthyr turn you into a venthyr. The Fae i believe just ressurect you if youre tied to nature do they not? Otherwise i reckon you get turned into a moth destined to farm eggs all day everyday.
There are countless realms in the Shadowlands if I remember right.
So they might’ve ended up in one we can’t go to.
Well there’s supposedly an “infinite” amount of realms in the Shadowlands, so they’ve probably just gone to one of the off-screen ones.
Who knows, maybe the 9.2 content will be “new panda afterlife zone” and we’ll find out what happened to all of the pandas…
In some places, souls retain something of their original form (e.g. the souls around Aspirants Rest in Bastion). I can’t remember if I’ve seen a panderan there or not, but there were a variety of races there in “soul form” - presumably awaiting being transformed into a big blue dude.
The worst way to go…
Honestly, “there are multiple realms” is a pretty lame excuse to not show an entire race. Why did we end up in this specific one then?
