Algalon’s entire purpose was to assess the integrity of Azeroth’s world-soul / Titan essence within the planet. Now that the Worldsoul Saga explicitly focuses on the awakening of Azeroth’s world-soul, Algalon’s mission becomes directly relevant again.
Perhaps I’m overthinking it, but In Ulduar, Algalon chose not to re-originate Azeroth as an act of compassion or maybe it was curiosity. The saga could explore whether that choice was right or wrong. Maybe his decision indirectly allowed the Void or Old Gods to grow stronger?
I don’t know, I just miss this boss
As I recall he wasnt just Azeroth’s overseer so he could be somewhere in the Great Dark Beyond overseeing other Titan worlds. Maybe he is even less trigger happy with his extinction protocols after encountering us.
Now will he come back for Last Titan? That depends. If that expansion is going to be like many speculate about ruthless and uncarring Titans coming to wipe us and claim Azeroth than he’s probably gonna be a low tier raid boss and this time we will kill him. Like with Klaxxi paragons.
Otherwise he might have small cameo like watcher Ren in BfA. Where he appears to give us a quest or two and than some new bad guy kills him right away. To show us how serious is this new threat.
