Was wondering what’s the take of HC players on this? One life, no quest helper and you’re on your own and need to figure everything out by yourself, probably the hard way.

I was there at 2004 when there was no questie and when Classic released i knew instantly that i wont be doing the same walk again with quests so Questie it is.
HC is hard enough without selfmade restrictions, but all to their tastes.
I’m an altoholic, I know 100% of the quest 1-20 for all races exept undead by heart, 99% 20-40 and still around 90% from 40+. For the odd quest I don’t know I just check wowhead. No need for questie in classic.
Not going to begin use questie if I play HC in spite of me not want to play ruined version of Era/HC.
You’ve been complaining about the same thing since yesterday, maybe try to fill your empty little life some other way?

Nope, it defeats the purpose of the challenge? Why bother playing HC.
No I have never used a single questing add on the whole 16 years I have played WoW and don’t intend to start now.
Questing is lots more fun without add ons, it feels more like an adventure/treasure hunt, I wish more people would give it a go, alot of them would enjoy it. The quests tell you where to go if you just read them. When I play retail it just feels like ‘‘follow the arrow’’.
Questie takes away immersion from the world so no for me.

I could see how a player new to WoW classic could have a good time doing it without questie. However, I have leveled 30+ characters to lvl 60 in vanilla/classic, and countless chars that ended at lvl 30-40. I know pretty much every quest inside and out. So will use questie as a way to keep track of the quests, more than to help me finding my way.
I don’t need a quest helper so I don’t use questie. But I’ve been in a few groups and I think auto announcing quest progression/completion is quite handy. Which is why I’ll give it a try.

Afraid addons might bug out or cause a disconnect.
