Are you guys having fun?

I will honestly say I am not.

It is quite demotivating to have my “big giga button” do 410 million over a run. Meanwhile a paladin is doing 2.5 billion with theirs.

Bladestorm is doing 410 million damage as Slayer, with Anger Managment. Oh, unhinged! Sure, lets tripple it. Lets pretend that Reap procs and bloodthirsts are worth 820 million damage. Wait a sec… Reap in total does 310 million damage and bloodthirst 510 million…

Notice, I am not saying that Hammer of Light should be nerfed. Nerfs are never fun.

What I am saying is, CAN WE ACTUALLY HAVE A BIG DAMAGE BUTTON NOT NERFED TO HELL OURSELVES?

Big button damage is fun. But to have that fun, THE BUTTON GOT TO DO DAMAGE.

Bladestorm, Odyn’s Fury and Roar all do pisspoor damage.

This is not fun to play around with. I am playing “the Bladestorm” hero spec. My bladestorm got less value on a cast than a Ravager. If I could chose to take ravager, I would, not because it is fun. Ravager is boring as all hell. I would because I am desperate to do any form of damage. The ability has been killed off by bad actor devs!

This isn’t fun. Please understand. We are not having fun!

I think thane with Reckless Abandon is pretty fun to play… True slayer tuned badly and feel a bit clunky for both fury and arms

I was mentioning this even back in Dragonflight, since I noticed a creeping trend.

With how blizzard designed our talents, our large AOE cooldowns, Ravager, Bladestorm, and Odyns Fury, simply got role of support talents that enhance our already existing DPS burst mainly Avatar and Recklessness window, with passive and various passive effects or simplification of rotation.

In Dragonflight Ravager was picked simply because it had a Hurricane capstone that increased our primary stat by 20%, nobody picked Ravager because of its AOE damage it was mini Avatar basically. Yet it was consistently nerfed because of it, and then capstone was removed leaving Ravager in its suboptimal state even now.

In TWW, Bladestorm, and Odyns Fury worked perfectly together because of Titan’s Torment, and Titanic range capstones, and how these capstones worked together, to create a massive AOE burst in the first few seconds of the fight.

With full rework of Titan’s Torment, and removal of problematic capstones, Odyns Fury, Ravager and Bladestorm, now fill the role they always intended to fill, AOE damage abilities, and not much else.

That is essentially why Fury now feels unsatisfying to play even tho I think it plays well otherwise, while we always connected our massive damage burst in AOE, with this abilities, it was never their damage that allowed for it to happen, it was always their passive talent choices that opened opportunity for such gameplay style.

Arms feels pretty sh!t in m+ since the spec has way too many CDs that don’t line up (Avatar, Colossus Smash/Warbreaker, Ravager/Bladestorm, Sweeping Strikes, Thunderous Roar, Demolish…), abilities that should have been combined yesterday (Cleave/Thunder Clap), and Demolish being one of the worst designed abilities out there. Fury feels bad in m+ because of the absolutely ridiculous 5 targets cap, massively undertuned capstone signature abilities (Odyn’s Fury, Bladestorm etc.), complete failure in terms of fun an performance of the reworked Titan’s Torment talent, and forgotten talents like Single-Minded Fury. Instead of making both spec less fun with every patch, how about the devs focus on some serious quality of life updates that make them more fun to play?!

Jesus who gives a sh1t if some other guy is making more damage than you?
Boo hoo?
Jealous of his numbers?
Roll the same.
Assuming this is about PvE.
IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE.

None of those abilities are similar so it’s wild for you to say that, lmao.

Buff prot warrior!!! It was amazing to have a tank dps

Not really. I play tank warrior — all 12s timed, 664 ilvl — but I can’t get into a single 13.
Queued for at least 30 minutes without a single invite.

I can apparentley only run my own keys now.

And honestly, if I’m running my own key, I’d rather be playing DPS.
Only reason I tank is to avoid the 30-minute queue or group-building headache.

I pull +2k DPS overall in most dungeons.
Why is everyone so obsessed with vengeance tanks?

##Update After 45 min I got an invite##

So, with 2k DPS i wouldnt invite you either :stuck_out_tongue:

You are not supposed to line everything up. Sweeping is used outside of ravager windows. and anger management is a haste check, you are always able to line your third warbreaker with avatar. Roar is available on every pull. Demolish usage and CDR depends on your prio of mortals vs cleave which is dependant on pack size, you can easily force lineups to get better low target AOE dmg. cleave and clap have always been separate and should stay that way. The spec used to be much more complicated, we used to have to think about using cleave vs sweeping OP/MS before, now you always just cleave above 3 targets regardless of whether sweeping is up or not. The bladestorm opener and whirlwind is also gone now, you don’t need to optimize the bonegrinder opener/BS reset to have any chance of doing damage, you just send on every pack. you don’t need to track test of might and dump rage on no GCD abilities like ignore pain for procs or buffs. Rage management is almost nonexistant now, you don’t have to think about saving OP stacks in case of bad RNG. Colossus ST play in keys is legit pressing 2 buttons now and a occasional rend, no skullsplitter, no execute. If you struggle this bad with TWW arms, then god help you if you one day try to pick up a spec with some actual complexity like unholy dk with the optimal single target raid gameplay.

In full agreement. The Odyns fury nerfs were not justified. Bring it back home.

It’s sad really isn’t it, all because of a knee-jerk reaction to a couple of bosses in the last raid. Everyone before the tier started thought oh fury is doing not bad right now, we don’t need a powerful tierset…haha yeah, look where we are, dropping every week and now a bunch of specs currently under us will be above us in a weeks time with buffs so we can compete with aug again like we have done a couple times, especially on boss damage. Can’t feel good in raid with every passing week and definitely can’t feel good in m+ when I have DKs and shammys bursting 20m+ dps on 1 pack while I chill with the tanks, which wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that almost every dungeon with every single group treats the run as ‘pull big all the time’…there are many ways they could remedy this situation but then 2 tuning passes come and go with no word about fury.

I ask since… BFA to have something “new” to warrior for being wanted on key and Blizzard just don’t care.
Even on DF, many class have reworkd and NOTHING to warrior.
Blizzard just don’t like warrior.

How much damage does the VDH’s you play with do overall?

Having to feel forced to play my Fury Warrior, to do weekly keys for vault…

Yeah, Fury is fun… so much fun, that I rather not try to get the rewards than play it.

Sorry, but is just the default waiting time for Damage Dealers.

Genuenly warrior is now really awful to play in Mythic+. Having to maintain stacks and pay attention to the stacks all the time and PRAY that your tank doesn’t do a stupid chain pull where you’ve already popped your warbreaker is… It just isn’t good design. Let alone taking a huge risk every time you demolish that
A) Your tank doesn’t move the mobs
B) Nobody does a knockback
C) You don’t get unlucky and have to cancel it due to a mechanic
D) You don’t pull aggro
E) Every mob is stacked up well so you can hit them all
F) You don’t accidentally jump

Also you have to pray that you don’t lose your Collateral Damage stacks that the tank is fast enough to pull the next pack. Also pray that you can hit every mob due to cleave being a frontal cone.

Seriously the design is terrible. Even if everything lines up, well you can just about keep up with most other classes for double the effort. Now arms is mostly fine, this is fine, BUT then we get to fury.

WHO decided to destroy fury? Like seriously, WHO? Why is Odyn’s fury useless? Why is Roar softcapped to 5 targets? Why is thunder blast softcapped to 5 targets? I understand meatcleaver being capped to 5 targets, but come on… Fury desperately needs massive tuning buffs for M+.

And then we have Slayer. Slayer is just… Useless in M+, it can be fun to play, but damn your damage is so bad in M+ its a joke. Just… Why?

We’ve even fallen below middle of the pack now in raids too. There’s no tuning. There’s nothing. Please i love my class, i’ve played my character for almost 900 days straight over 19 years. I love playing Mythic+, but i feel like such a burden for my group, because my lack of utility and my damage not compensating for it.

Someone would say just play tank, well yeah… I would if it didn’t get gutted too. Now it is super boring and annoying to play due to the nerfs, like you’ll be sitting there waiting for rage just to ignore pain. It just feels awful.

Blizzard please, warrior is in desperate need for tuning, help us. We love our class, we want to be competitive, we just aren’t. We don’t bring good utility for anything, so we really really could use the damage to be able to compensate.

Id like something fresh added to the class, Arms is clunky as hell to play IMO
You need a dedicated team to actually use the class, and even then its not even close to top dps, not that dps is all i care, like i said id like some new flavor to it, maybe new skills or better designed talents, but if utility is a non factor, we might as well do UH dk dmg…
Pugging to 3k M+ as Arms warrior, ive spent far more time que-ing then playing… Which is bad, felt like quitting a few times, like i came back from work had like 3 hours to play or more, and spent it all applying to grps and calling it a day after no invites…

Yeah, this is a big issue. Especially when it comes to our upfront damage in keys is exceptionally bad. There isn’t a Single Target boss before mid-dungeon or later. So till that boss appears, and often not till after the 2nd Single Target boss (often the final boss) has been downed do even look close to be of any value.

Keys often start to fall apart early, so who do they blame? Well, the Fury Warrior. It is easy to blame the guy that seemingly is underperforming on the meters. It doesn’t matter for them if the Fury did all the stops and interupts or did “good prio damage”. I say “good prio” as no it isnt any special, really. To believe it is good damage is copium. We would have to do 50% more damage on prio to be even close to worth it in the eyes of others.

It doesnt matter what the Fury does, as long it isn’t clear-cut on the damage meter.

Add to this that you got bosses that forces you out of melee with mechanics; like Flood Gate bomb duo, The Maldraxi Champion and Blazikon - then even our boss damage falls to the floor. There is no way to catch up lost DPS due to downtime, it just multiplies the DPS loss factor something extreme. Without mechanics, we can sit comforably at the top or at least contend with first place… Mechanics twice in a row, thrice? We are dead last, down with the tank.

This is another huge issue with the flat damage profile Fury currently is having pushed. It gets really punishing if there is any downtime, at all.

I came back this weekend, to try some Fury keys, see if it was any fun. It is a horrible gameplay experience. It isn’t fun being the community chew toy for everything that goes wrong. The amount of hate I get directed at myself for being a chunk lower on the damage meter after the first few pulls are enormous. It has reached the point where I started to report people that do the classic whisper: You *** suck, k*** yourself. They are pretty common when the key dies and frustration is directed towards the perceived reason: “the lack of DPS”.

Playing Fury Warrior shouldn’t be mentally taxing because of bad gameplay design. Currently it is.

Sadly, all that is coming of positive changes is a very minor buff to Slayer’s kit. Even if you doubled that buff, Slayer would only be even with Thane. Thane is already struggling to keep up with other specs/classes in itself. You could double the buffs for Slayer, and in M+, it wouldnt move the needle to a positive game state.

I know it is unlikely a Dev will get word of this, but:

It is pretty grim being a Fury Warrior at the moment. It really isn’t fun. The game isn’t fun to play.

You should blame the big warrior boys who shared the feedback with Blizzard and pushed us to do flat damage!
