Are you happy with wow token prices?

you seem to be a WH goblin, what do you do to earn that much?

I´m sitting on 3 goldcaps and am not a goblin by any stretch, there are endless ways to make gold in WoW… you just have to actually do them.

farming at the beginning of expansions is hyperlucrative (and even now mid season 1 it´s still a steady 15-20k /hr herbing and mining) , selling crafted transmog across multiple realms using teh Warband is slow but steady, spamming a few runs of Old DUngeon X in the hopes of rare drop Y, and in general just paying a bit of attention… for ex when Old Naxx /Strat /Scholo were announced I farmed leather in UBRS and made a killing when tehy were unlocked and people needed lots of old leather. Add on to that easily 100k /week just from crafting stuff for others in /2… But I could also easily flood the AH with thousands of tempered potions , flasks of alchemical chaos, and Beledar´s Bounty every wednesday @18:00 and make bank, i´m just usually preoccupied…

And almost more impüortantly: not constantly throwing out gold for stuff I don´t need… no mogging 10x /day for example

Most people I see that have gold issues just don´t make the effort to do weeklies (roughly 10k /char /week), or use their professions effectively for farming OR crafting, much less clear the raid for the easy 4k… is all of that slower than going full goblin and making 50k+ /hr? yes, but it still works more than well enough for the average player.

If you want tips on how to make gold, I recommend watching a few videos by studenalbatroz on youtube, and maybe joining his discord (and before someone gets the wrong idea, No, this little tip is not just another way for me to make gold, I do not profit whatsoever from advertising for him, I´m actually not even a discord member there anymore because I don’t need it ) :beers:

One tip from me personally: simply install auctionator and /or TSM. you don´t even have to actually use it, but it shows the current AH price on any item you mouseover in the tooltip… Because you never know when that random green or even white item from a legacy dungeon might be a 250k mog on your realm (but again, don´t expect instant or even quick sales on mog)

Isnt it the other way if you look at the historical prices? As i see ot prices tend to go down on new releases and patches.

I sell consumables [Potions, Flasks and Foods].

Best time to make sales is just before raid nights start at 8pm server time, half an hour prior, on Wednesdays/Fridays/Sundays.

Extra mats for 3x crafters. The time to gather that myself is prohibitive.

It’s my money to choose to spend. I choose not to grind tedious world content. Easier to get cash for a token than it is to get gold.

well dont complain at the gold you get then as it is your choice to do it nobody forcing you.

I’m very happy, I buy a token every pay day to sell on AH.
Keeps my characters fed all month.

Time is money would actually be an argument for it to be higher.

With in limts determined by Blizzard. If it was truly supply and demand it would cost several millions.

While there may or may not be a limit (ther is no empiric proof either way), it would most certainly not cost “Millions” in the current economy, because the majority would not be able to afford them, lowering demand and with it the price, while those that could afford it will just LOL and say “hell no, not for that price”.

Because we didn’t get “rich” by blowing out millions of gold that took weeks or months to earn on things we can easily purchase ourselves (a month of gametime sub) for at most an hour or 2 of RL effort.

You might be able to get 2$ instead of 1 for a McDs cheeseburger in some remote places, but you will never in any concievable scenario be able to sell them for 20 or even more with any regularity.

I really want that in my life right now.

Blizzard have stated that there are limits to the swings.

Maybe not, I dont play as much as I used too. I dont have much gold but if i did I’d surely have a close to a million each month.

A ‘McD’ has a cost where as a virtual token is virtually no cost.

And you doing this helps the average player suddenly generate significantly more gold how exactly?

While true, it´s irrelevant to the concept of supply and demand how much the item costs to produce. Just because you spend 20 gold crafting a weavercloth bolt doesn´t by extension mean anybody will actually purchase them for that price, it merely means that it´s not profitable to craft them if you can´t sell them for at least that much.

It is the best one can get for small price, not sure if same for 200k gold with 20 euro however. 2 euro double cheeseburger on other hand is a bargain for the worth of money and all. 4 nuggets on the side with 2 euro and my god we have meal fit for a king :dracthyr_a1:

unless there is some other expensive mount coming in the cash shop

as long as the meal makes you fat ,then it fulfills the criteria of king meal

It’s a price, I don’t really care about it but it’s itching sometimes, when the price goes up 20 or 30K within an hour and down the same within a week or even two. I can’t raid or M+ anymore, so I found a new pleasure in farming and being “casual”. And I’m a cook, so i don’t spend money on McD ^^

I got every prof at 100, most R2 mats cost 1/3 the price they’d require me to make and they guarantee R5 items, so I’d rather sell the mats. Going to 100 I obviously used some raw mats, but the “loss” of not selling them wasn’t huge, and NPC orders helped alot.

Now the frenzy has stopped mats sell for 1/10th of first weeks, but I have a few 80s doing exps and weeklies, netting around 10K each per week. I also sold previous Xpacks engineering stuff for laughable prices, never been so happy to be a hoarder, and never thougt I’d sell copper bars or bolts for 100G/p again… It paid the whole Brutosaur.

And then there are Delves, from which I get around 10K / day on average, just buying components satchels with undercoins. Tinderboxes just sell like candy.

All in all I spend nothing and earn around 1M a month, including my wife’s loose change, just playing, even though this “just” is like 3H/day and the whole Saturday. Thanks Blizzard for teamable (?) Delves, and making nodes usable by several people, we enjoy those lovers’ farming sessions with the great Dorn island music and it’s great fun watching my wife crush kobolds or nerubians and brag about her tanking skills. All this pays for both our subs. And most of my motivation comes from the shop mounts and pets I want to offer her =)
