Hmm. I was a Druid until MoP, then I was a warlock until Legion and then I was a Paladin and still am (though I also have a Hunter who is essentially a second main).
Not sure any of those switches were fotm and simply because the class was no longer fun for me. I don’t have any other toons, though I would like a mage.
I wouldn’t say I am loyal to classes or anything, after all if it is dull that patch then it is dull - I mained the Hunter to begin with in DF because Ret was snore.
I don’t just hop about willy nilly though. I am not one of those people that can speed level to max and gear ta da new main. I need to feel a connection to the character, a journey. So that takes a lot of time and is usually done at the end of an expansion.
Warrior tank from vanilla till start of pandaland. I swiched to frost mage during pandaland and alwys played that in every xpac as main since then. I do play alts but mostly just lvling to max to lvl and thats it.
Im loyal to class / spec in a sense that once i create a character with a class / spec combo, that character will always be that combo.
For example this frost mage will never become an arcane mage or a fire mage, gotta create a new character for that.
Its more about the journey than the destination.
i made 3 chars on launch day of vanilla . a hunter, mage and a warrior , the hunter became my main right up to and including dragonflight , i used to pvp and raid a lot but now i dont bother , blizzard have lost their way since bfa and the game now is messed up big time , players always demanding changes to their class and so it goes on the game will never be great again if they carry on down this road .
I cant even make it through a playsession on one char. After about 30 minutes I feel like I have to relogg because I want to play something else. Its a real problem…
I played almost exclusively this character since I started retail in SL, did a lot of stuff on it and at S2 of DF I got burned due to changes and not liking the class/spec anymore. I came back few weeks ago and I have a class crisis. I am exploring other solutions and classes with more interesting playstyle and toolkit that fits better to me.
Since I preder to play range, so far, I jumped from Warlock, Priest and Mage, but each of these had some flaws that I can’t ignore like Warlock and Mage don’t have healing spec and I am able to play decently only one spec and Priest (Shadow/Disc) feels very complex. Next in the line is Druid (Resto/Balnce), even though I was playing Druid in Classic I just don’t think I will be able to manage this retail playstyle, but will see.
I still go back to my Shaman to finish some campaign, reputations and small farms since I feel bad to leave it “unfinished” and that’s the curse of WoW, if you commit to one character you feel bad to abandon it so you stuck with many characters and a lot of “obligations” which can be very overwhelming.
I just want to find a suitable class, that I can play and perform decently, I don’t bother with DPS/HPS meta as long as I enjoy it.
Usually it’ll become my main alt if it’s fun. Usually that swaps between dh and evoker tho.
I wish… I honestly hate being an altoholic. I especially feel bad for my guildies seeing me every 2 weeks on a new character.
Really hope that with the release of TWW and hero talents I’ll settle for a class after attending some Altoholics Anonymous meetings.

I am loyal to MM hunter, nothing comes even close to me.
I try a new class, play an hour or two and think “I could be playing my hunter right now…” and go back to it.
Playing my paladin since tbc, so yeah
Played Rogue in Cata, switched to Lock in MoP, switched to Warrior in Legion, played Warrior ever since.
Blizz keep changing so much all the time, even during seasons that i cant care 1 second anymore about the spec i play. There must have been at least 10 versions of my to go to spec in the last 2-3 expansions.
Neither.
I play a range of classes and specs, and switch between them depending on what I feel like playing at the time.
I gave up playing my druid this season because its defensives are so lacking in mythic plus. I’m missing it so much, but being dead all the time just isn’t fun.
No I’m not, I change class and specs based on how I feel like playing when I open WoW. I usually stick to a single character for a few months though, before changing.
Nope. I play all three DK specs and I have been playing rogue in DF.
What makes you keep changing?
Always have a max level hpriest. At some point I got curious about dps classes/specs, tried shaman first and loved enha, but kept going resto. I figured I’d sabotage any possibility of me going healer so then I tried DK and hunter.
Ever since then I have some specs I’ll always go with, and experiments for fun and to sate my curiosity. I don’t push anything, meta is completely irrelevant to me, I just enjoy the different flavours
I used to be loyal to a class, but it didn’t make me happy.
In vanilla through early WotLK, I played holy/disc priest, stopped enjoying it after BWL, but felt stuck with the role. In WotLK I switched to druid and played it until early SL. It was always a love and hate relationship, but I was overly attached to it. Then I had my account deleted and came back only shortly before DF S3. Played a DK for a bit, then this Evoker.
I’ve been dabbling a bit in other classes and would like to play a Vulpera, but I don’t feel like grinding out the gear, crests and flightstones again this season (and also don’t really know what class to pick). I wish crests and FPs were account-wide, though the new 441 gear boxes for FP are a good change at least.
