Like in topic. What gives you most fun from playing SoD? I wanna start soon and looking for motivation. How is gameplay on max 40 lvl,
This is the wrong place to ask if people are having fun. Most only come here to complain. Try it out for yourself and see what you think of it.

Its probably the usual for me as with every classic .
Leveling and wpvp are nice especialy if u play with friends.
I also like geting my prebis and max out profs make some gold etc .
Once its only raid loging its dead to me pretty much , most fun is for first 2-3 weeks
Tbh ph2 is not great so far.
The gnomeregan raid is very fun. But the pvp is by far the worst steaming pile of garbage I have ever seen in a video game

PvP Summary: One-shot fiesta, some classes overpowered, some ridiculously overpowered. Some completely useless. STV event completely horrid - farm until weapon, then never go again. Oh and weapon is only there for certain speccs, i.e. devs probably thought “Druid = Feral, duck those boomkins”
PvE Summary: Big class imbalance in damage and healing combined with retail mentality destroys the whole classic experience because of that… “MELEE CLEAVE 111!!!” “MAGE FOR CASTER CLEAVE GS 3000+” “LFM2 PRIEST HEAL GS OVER 9000”

Its great fun. i love it. But yes. As Shivette said, this the wrong place to get motivation. everyone here cries about the game. ppl that are enjoying it, have no reason to come here.

There is no “retail mindset” and also no “classic experience”.
If people back then had the same infos and knowledge as we do it would look the exact same.
Theres always been a**holes and idiots we shouldnt pretend like classic was this ultimate and perfect mmo experience where all was nice and pretty.

Been having fun as a tank lock as I got it just near the end of phase 1 so I didn’t get to test it until now. Just questing around, doing some dungeons, mucking about with friends in the guild. It’s been fun, even if there are some major shortcomings with P2 in particular over P1 I still find the questing experience to be a lot of fun.
Give it a try.
Personally I had more fun in phase 1, and did not stop playing despite being full BIS. Phase 2 is just a chaotic mess of un-tested content pushed out as fast as possible.
