Arena Dojo Mode (!We need this more than you realize!)

Im not sure if i posted this before but its been quite some time ive been thinking about this:

Arena Dojo: A safe place for practice.

How I imagine it would work:
The Arena Dojo would have an troll NPC called “Mojo Dojo” who you would talk to and pick scenarios which would play out so you can do the correct thing and then the round ends and you can pick another.

A tutorial mode:
The tutorial mode would serve really well for newcomers, the tutorial mode would give them PvP puzzles to solve against petrified enemies like > CC the healer and try to do X amount of damage to the DPS.
Tasks would be modified based on role.
Tasks would get harder and harder.
The purpose would be to inform the user that they can use the help of macros and keybinds as well as to teach the player basic and some advanced tactics in PvP and more so in the arena!
Finishing the tutorial will grant you a title similar to the Proving Grounds.
Hell, it can even happen there.

Puzzle mode:
Puzzle mode would give 5 daily tasks each day of the week doing X number of them will grant something cooler than simply a title. Like a mount or cosmetic. Ive always wanted cat ears, but yeah. Anyway.

AI Mode:
As simple as Arathi Basin Comp Stomp mode you play against a simple team of a certain comp that you can pre-select race/class, limit their abilities or increase/decrease their health, damage, armor, versatility.

Why do we need Arena Dojo:

  • WoW has no PvP tutorials or introduction at all. And new players are the blood of any game. Cutt off the blood suply and the hand is good as dead. Believe me there will come 0 harm of doing this, quite the contrary!
  • Recently PvP skyrocketed into this extreme hyperactivity race where you cannot find a proper safe-place to practice. This can be one. Easily.
  • The Arena Dojo could be useful even for those who are advanced, want to train against certain comps, certain strategies, try out their keybinds/macros.
  • Its just healthier, a stepping stone into PvP.
  • There no downsides of having a Dojo!
  • It will reduce the amount of players that come illprepared to the scene and will attract some who are lacking confidence and always wanted to try PvP but couldnt, it will help them build some confidence to make a step into the arena.

Lol, dude, they won’t even add the NPC into a dummy arena, let alone invest time developing PvP puzzles XD

I like it. They did AI dungeons for next patch so why not arena next? To help people learn

this argument is toxic and you might just exit the forum as what you said can be applied to literally anything. Like why you here ?
Dont have anything to say? Dont speak.

Arena dojo woud be nice, when you can enter there, test your spec versus dampening, setup your UI etc

That would already put people who finish the tutorial at around 1800 mmr skill levels.:smiley:

What you are describing is a modified version of the Proving Ground MoP scenarios. Could sound good.

There is relatively useful PvP feedback being communicated daily on both EU and even NA forums, and even that doesn’t go through, why would you think that they have the resources to invest extra time into PvP when we don’t even see the basics being done properly? MMR has been ruined for at least 3 seasons now, there are insanely overpowered redesigns pushed through mid-season, there has been no PvP-specific dev communication for over a year, healers are unable to queue proper RSS queues, DPS are waiting for 40 to 360 minutes depending on their mmr for a queue to pop, the system is fundamentally flawed on its own, people are queuing into R1s and multiglads at 1.6-1.8 hardstuck in all brackets 4 weeks into the season, the spec population is grossly misbalanced, the baseline UI for arenas is absolutely illegible, especially for newcomers, and yet they have a fairly decent UI implemented in the game for spectator mode, yada yada. Hell, you can still proc precog if you doublekick and one kick goes through, and that’s been in the game for over a year. At this point, PvP is a minigame waiting to die out completely , due to lack of attention, I would dare argue they’re doing it intentionally at this point even.
