Well, itâs like this for like 10 years? Nothingâs gonna change, bcs âSpecs are balanced for 3v3â, which is an obvious cap also. Druid is Blizzardâs favourite healer. Has always been and will always be. The idea of doing a little of everything is supposed to be A LITTLE of everything, not best at everything.
Nobodyâs queing 3v3 because of sitting in que at 1500 CR and 2k+ exp being declined is just stupid. S1 DF â3kâ exp pals demanding â3kâ exp for 1500 plays is just wild.
I love Shuffle. Why bother waiting and getting a group if you can just click and instaplay? Let 3v3 players play their 3v3. Donât force me to sit in lfg with my 1 hour a day gameplay.
Because, like it or not, casters on average require more brains, than zugzugzug PvEing. Blame the community, rerolling from one fotm to another. God every arena is a monk in it. Pathetic and disgusting.
Blizzardâs fault they canât balance things. Communityâs fault we make it THAT bad.
3v3 has been in decline for well over 5 years - probably longer. ask yourself why the anti-social rage inducing bracket with 30 minute dps queues and inferior rewards is more popular than the bracket with the most rewards, the best rewards, that allows you to hand pick people that arenât mentally ill to be your partners or even better, you can join up with your friends!
hint: its because 3v3 is depressingly awful. it is rock paper scissors and it feels awful most games, which is why 99.99% of the playerbase doesnât ever play it.
complaining that solo shuffle slew your 3v3 game mode is like complaining that wow classic killed shadowlands. no - we all just dipped and enjoyed ourselves in a game that was actually fun for 2 years.
2v2 has been this way since at least 6.0. it has always been hunter + the best healer. every season, for years. occassionally WW monk or rogue or DH are good enough to match hunters, but 60-70% of the time it is hunter + the best healer.
and despite this it is still more popular than 3v3.
i agree that this is a problem but the problem is deeper than it first appears. the reality is that all of the most popular specs in the game are melee - and have been since the start of the game. the one exception to this is hunter. warrior, ret paladin and dk have been absurdly popular forever - even when theyâre awful, even when theyâre trash in PvE too, people still play them. every guild you ever join gets more warrior/ret/dk applications than any other class and you have to ask people to reroll to get them to play wizards.
wizards just arenât that fun. they arenât very interactive. the gameplay loop is boring - i donât want to stand like a torbjorn turret and nuke people and then spam fear when my weakaura goes off. i dont want to stand like a torbjorn turret and then press cyclone when my weakaura goes off. mage is the only interesting wizard in the game and unfortunately for everyone, mage is balanced entirely around RMP which makes it a feast or famine spec that either does insanely well in RMP in 3s or has to play twice as well as everyone else in the game just to be on par with them.
they arenât fun. compare this to the gameplay of warrior or enh shaman or ww monk or any rogue spec or ret. theyâre just more fun. you arenât going to balance people into playing wizards. it will never not be the case that sub 2100 will be 70% melee, because thats what people want to play.
the only way you can change this is by fundamentally changing how wizards play and making them cool on top of that. nothing wizards can do is even half as appealing to the average player as bladestorm, avenging wrath, death grip or stealth. even in games where wizards are obscenely overpowered, like Elden Ring, people mostly play with katanas or greatswords. Wizards are really hard to make fun and WoW is not a game that has succeeded in that regard.
Tbh most invasions you get one melee guy covered by 1-2 spam wizards, or just all out wizards. So I would say itâs a good example of a game where wizards have been made appealing, but youâre right that wow has failed miserably at that.
before SoloQ you would sit in LFG for hours and get random old boomers with glad from burning crusade asking for glad titles or more just to queue into a 1500 bracket.
LFG IS FAR WORSE THAN SOLOQ
soloQ is the future of pvp, like it or not, thats the way forward
Nobody is playing 3v3 because there is no reason to play, when in a few weeks you can get double the rating for half the work.
At the moment games at 2k are already kinda sweaty, but if we now wait until end of season, most season goals can be done in 2-3 days of playing instead of weeks of sitting lfg / try harding
The more people think this way, the more dead the lfg gets too
funny enough, while there are more meele, statistic wise caster translate better into higher rating. Playing caster has a higher % of gaining rating than meele im theory. Just meele being more played makes it look like they dominate, when in reality its a skill issue on the caster side
The fact that solo shuffle is so bad, but still everyone prefers it to 2s and 3s, is eye-opening enough.
Solo Q is the future of WoW PVP. Nothing can change that fact. Solo Shuffle is the first implementation of solo Q in the game. There might be others, and better ones in the future, but no matter what they do people will always gravitate towards solo q in one form or another.
All the real pvp players are moving back to 2s/3s. In sl i used to get 1 healer apply for my lfg group now there are 4-5 healers applying at same time so i can pick and choose. Solo is getting more dry with healers every day day eventually ques will end several hours long. No matter how much people will que for the pve mode it will die in the end due to insane shortage of healers.
No one can do ANYTHING about it not even blizzard. Nobody can pressure people to play healer in solo. Its a human shottage problem and not fixable.Ques will grow longer and longer and then
pve solo will die, maybe not now, but some day it will⌠100%. To see how this is going you dont even have to use logic.
you are missing the big picture⌠its only torture due the lack of participation and Burst meta/melee meta
those are inner balancing issues that blizzard need to address,
RNG plays a factor into anything SOLO
when you start talking on behalf of the WHOLE player base, you are being unjust
what you think is FUN or BAD someone else might find it the opposite
this type of Misinformation is why Blizzard cant do anything correct in the players eyes, because players like to Talk as if they are some HIVE MIND and know what everyone else is feeling
You are missing an even bigger picture⌠healers are running away from solo faster than women run from creeps lmao
Yes torture will become the normal thing for solo people you are right but you all have to deal with it and accept fate
You solo shufflers remind me a lot about those people irl harming themself. You guys have same mentality like them so have fun with torture waiting in ques but dont come to forums to complain its all your pve enjoyers fault for doing it to yourselfs. Have fun
what is que average time for solo 40 min? remember my words; by the end of season average que time will be 2 hours
