Hi there - I haven’t read anything about the arena point calculation changing since TBC so I was actually quite baffled when I saw that my 10 weekly games of 5v5 had amounted to 206 arena points instead of the 344 you’re supposed to get at 1500 or below.
Do you have any intention of fixing this discrepancy? Even 10 weekly games of 2v2 are supposed to give you minimum 261 arena points per week, so seeing 206 from 5v5 is absolutely baffling.
A friend of mine had even done both 2v2 (1842 rating) and 5v5 (1856 rating) and received less points from 5v5 than they would have from 2v2.
Something seems deeply off here - Anybody else experiencing the same issue?
That has nothing to do with calculation - that is merely how the rating system itself works, not how points are calculated - there has been no notice of a change to 1500 points being the minimum for arena point calculation.
Even if we apply the 1.000 as a minimum, that’d be 234 points in 5v5. It simply makes no sense.
You start at 0 (zero) rating, if I got this right. This is a change from back in the day, when you started at a 1500 rating. There were also changes to the calculations, I think. I will try to find them and edit them in here.
so to make arena worth the time investment you literally need to be like 1600+ otherwise you wont get 1/4th of your slots complete by the end of the season. wouch…
