I played two solo shuffle matches today. My rating was 1692 before joining the first lobby. After winning 5 out of 6 games, my rating should have increased by 49 points (as per summary at the end), but it dropped to 1685 instead. In the second lobby, I won 3 out of 6 games, and my rating was supposed to increase by 12 points, but it only went up to 1687.
This is puzzling. Is the 1700 rating an intentional barrier meant to prevent new players from surpassing it in their first season, or is it a glitch?
CR / MMR are 2 seperate things so if you’re barely breaking even or your losing gmes where your MMR is lower than your CR you will be subject to losing more rating
MMR was very similar to rating, around 10 point different between mmr and rating
That’s not the point here. As I mentioned above, my rating was 1693, and my MMR was very similar. I joined the lobby and ended up with 5 wins and 1 loss. According to the summary window, my rating should have increased by 49 points, so 1693 + 49 = 1742. However, my rating changed to 1685 instead. This is weird.
In the next lobby, I went 3/6, and again, my rating should have changed by 12 points, but it jumped to 1987.
This is very frustrating because it should not work like that. When it says you gain +XX points, you should actually gain +XX, instead of losing points.
Current MMR system is winstreak hungry…
Even if you doing well, if your wins are not winstreaked you will feel progress to nowhere.
Also 0:6 loses are capital punishment, is it possible to play well for 3 hours wining humbly +15 +20, then get one black swan game for 0:6 and lose -75 which is 3 hours of doing well destrojed in just one game. (this is thing I hate the mostly) because it is very easy to lose game for 0:6 , bad setup for your spec, geting tilted, encounter on wintraders, unluck etc… I think they need to do something about capital punishment for 0:6, it is unnaceptable that your entire progress is decided in just ONE GAME.
