Who are we?
Dalaran Book Club is a friendly guild that caters primarily to the LGBTQIA+ community but is welcoming to everyone. We started in 2018 and have kept trooping since. Every guild has it’s high and low points, but there is usually a determined core that keeps the flame alive even when people are getting bored of the game or we’re out of content to play.
What makes us different?
The guild is specifically setup to be a place people can make friends, play games together, and be themselves. Our whole ethos is to be a non-drama, not preachy place to play. Some guilds focus way too heavily on ‘the woke agenda’ but we don’t. You won’t see a guild chat filled with gender politics, tribalism, or sermons. These are important subjects but not within a guild chat where people want to relax and play. We’re all about the gameplay instead, but in a place you can be yourself without having anyone tackle you for it.
What content do we do?
We aren’t a niche guild so there are many things we do. DBC is usually very large and it’s difficult to make a large guild like ours have one specific focus, so don’t expect a niche gameplay here. Here’s a list of things we do.

How is Dalaran Book Club built?
Although we primarily play WOW our Discord has a lot more available than just that, and it’s always a disappointment when people dismiss friendships they’ve made in game solely because they’re less interested in logging into WOW. There’s people who play LOL, ESO, FFXIV, GW2, and many other things, and we also have guilds in each of these games should people want to play inside the community itself.

These are the sole expectations you have when you’re in the guild and/or the community. Some people will be happier getting stuck in than others and that’s fine, but we regularly remove people who go AFK for long periods or have never participated or communicated with others. We aren’t a guild you join just to avoid guild invites. Join because you WANT a community to play with.
