For the past two weeks now, the Argent Dawn server, specifically around Stormwind, is becoming totally unplayable. Early in the morning/early afternoon it’s tolerable, but as soon as it seems to hit peak times after 5pm realm time, there is a massive feeling of world lag.
My MS, as well as my friends are consistently fine, but often messages in /s /e either take a long time to send or they fail to send completely.
There is lag on ability input as well and it is making things like flying or pvp difficult within the city.
I’m Kazzakian but can totally confirm! I was tripping for a few days thinking it was just my connection, but after double-checking, it’s definitely something off on their end. The input lag is massive.
The game has been lagging for a long time for me as well. I recently upgraded my GPU and CPU, but I still get an average of 40-50 FPS in newer zones, especially in the new event zone and Dornogal.
I played Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 a few days ago and could easily run the game with 0 issues and highly stable frames. That goes for pretty much ANY game except for World of Warcraft.
I truly hope they can do something to optimize the game more and fix these issues because at this point you’d have to get a NASA supercomputer to fully enjoy the game without stuttering or frame drops.
Oh, my bad. I thought you meant lag in general, both FPS and latency. Do you have no problem with FPS in the new zones? Maybe the problem is actually on my end…
I don’t know if it’s related but I’m getting the same issue as a player from a low-population RP realm, I believe due to cross-realm zoning. When the server decides to merge me with Argent Dawn players I get the lag you describe, presumably because I’m using the AD server instead of my home realm’s server
Same problem but different circumstance to the other in the thread. Seems to start at a certain time of the day and end a bit later but the lag is undeniable.
Have to say, if I did my job like these guys, I would be unemployed
Draenor chiming in, same issue since ± a week. PvP is unplayable, raids and dungeons have serious lag issues as well. I suspect some major network issues somewhere.
Nevermind. Argent dawn spotted! I thought these guys were immune to sharding? I am reporting this as a bug every time I get annoyed enough to do so. Haven’t been able to do any group content in 3 days.
