Armor sounds when walking

Are these gone?

I am walking around, with sound turned up to the maximum, but I can’t seem to hear the armor clanking sounds on retail client.

Is it something just broken, or removed on purpose ?

I noticed that as well. I miss the sound of armor and the old horse hoof sound

I’ve never heard armor clanking but perhaps that’s becuase my armor is cloth…

Yes, to my knowledge it was removed, though I never heard the reason why it was done so.

I remember it being in around WOTLK time, but when it was taken out I do not know. It wasn’t in anymore by WoD.

Yep there has been armor sounds for mail and Im recalling for leather too, but these were in vanil and tbc as far as I remember. You ran around on something that use mail and you heard chainmail type sounds.

I still hear them as Draenei. Maybe broke for the soft-foots of you?

Related sounds Im so thankful they removed the mages water elementals bubbly sound, tho now its linked to icy vein cd but still

I wish they would bring back the armor sounds as an optional setting in the audio section. Just like Reverb is an optional setting.

This. I vaguely remember there being armour sounds but I don’t remember them being removed - I guess I wasn’t paying attention.
Skellington mobs in Duskwood or Plaguelands still have armour sounds I’m sure.

But more options in the Settings would be good. We should be able to set Night / Day to cycle, be on or off all the time. We should be able to set weather on / off / intensity. I know some of this can be done with console commands but settings would be better.
