11,112 thats what i have
Wait until you see immortal rets one shotting people whilst running around in a soap bubble again.
frost dk gets absolutely nothing meanwhile UHDK gets slapped while rogue continues to be a class you literally are not able to play against as they either cc you or are immune to your abilitys.
also cant wait for the inevitable warlock meta again, as is every seasons standard
Blinding Sleet is on the same DR as fear IIRC. So hopefully that means DK blind will also break on 100% more damage taken.
Lol, they nerfed caster mw so hard last patch, it ooms 2 mins into matches and not a single fix.
Druids get a 5 percent healing reduction. Holy hells, what is going on over there. These notes are so bad.
Do they have access to drustvar etc? can they not see that giant orange line at the start of all brackets??
i am convinced there is some class bias because some people at the higher positions at blizzard play certain classes or specs.
rogue is absolutely disgusting since vanilla. it is the most toxic class to play against and they always leave rogue 2 expansions ahead than any other class.
no matter what bracked rogue can take you out of the game for an eternity. either ccing you or being immune to your abilitys. and even if he trys to bite off more than he can chew he just vanishes. and then he vanishes again. and then he shadowmelds.
why is shadow meld not sharing a cd with vanish? human racial does share a cd with insignia, doenst it?
i actually have turned my back on pvp cause rogue is just so unfun to play against. the class has grieved me every expansion and i am just not willing to put up with it anymore
I think changes to armor have been long overdue. Playing against plate as Outlaw, Fury, WW and MM has always been very frustrating.
I just hope that DKs are getting compensated for this.
The fear buffs are crazy, though. They rarely broke to damage to begin with. They will be like full stuns with these changes.
You can test it out, it is easy to do. Even if it isnât linear, the values are still close to linear model.
I did my best to keep it simple, no decimals, linear assumption⌠i mean donât forget that I was talking to someone who did not know that increased by 35% was x1.35. I wasnât going to do something complicated to communicate with such a creature.
The point remains true, the change is only a few extra % gained for cloth, lost for plate, and cloth remains the most fragile armor type while plate remains the most durable.
Urgh, WW and BM hunters are going to edited by moderation melt me now on my DK, they already were a problem.
How much mitigation do you get from that? Around 30% I assume? Iâm not sure how armor is calculated but if itâs linear thatâd be a massive nerf, youâd drop to ~20% mitigation which would mean that youâd take ~15% more damage than before from physical damage lol. Looks like a massive nerf for plate (if my assumptions are correct).
I donât have the answer as I cannot log in right now, but if my memory is correct a mail wearer is around 30%, maybe a little more, while plate is around 40%, again maybe a little more. It used to be close to that in the past, but maybe I am wrong now since Blizzard likes to modify armor scaling every second patch.
The changes look like they aim to make cloth and leather basically the same thing, and I would assume the same regarding mail and plate.
I think they should have buffed leather by a smaller value, like 15%, and nerfed mail by the same amount, to keep some meaning to the four different types.
Its generally a good change, but bad implemented.
Clothes being way more tanky than leather feels troll, especially a mage doesnât need such an armor boost!!
Plate nerf is good, but what about Elemental Shamans? They are already more tanky than most Plate melees against physical damage.
Seems like they want to nerf some comps for the upcoming AWC (TWD) while buffing others (RMX). I am not sure if the timing is well chosen. We could get the impression that the devs decide who they want to win!
i wish i didnt die through pact wall soulburn hs to serenity as aff
they do break to 1 point of damage if not talented into nightmare
I have no idea with what numbers would be accurate since I havenât played the game for quite a bit now but this change seems rather massive to do during mid season (at the start of a season would be reasonable but not right before AWC). Going from 40% down to 30% would be even worse, thatâd mean plates would suddenly take >15% dmg from ww. But lets see how this will be calculated. At least itâll make future balancing easier so I can see the reason behind it but they shouldnât have done that mid season.
I completely agree. It is the same kind of stunt as the Ret rework. These things should only happen when a new season begins, not halfway through.
Did ww, rogues, locks, dhs and hunters really need a buff??? This is completely insane, the blizz pvp dev is a rogue main for sure!
Iâd argue that the same goes for warrior, though. Double bladestorm is one of the most ridiculous things Iâve ever seen in this game.
Which is why I am glad that I can just switch to an alt. Imagine still being locked into a single class or spec, like in previous expansions.
They are nerfing ww. Bonus damage on proc bok gets nerfed by 50%. And they are buffing cloth armor, so Shadow, Lock and Mage (for w/e reason) will take less damage!
They also donât buff dh if I am not wrong, as they barely do any physical damage from my knowledge.
It depends on how they implement the change. If they take the percentage and reduce it by 30%, that would be a huge nerf to plate defense. Especially DK, which is already a victim to physical damage, will suffer the most.
From low S tier or high A tier to C tier in one patch!
It also would be a meaningful buff for cloth. Even though I donât see where mage and lock, especially frost and affliction, do need more defense!
BUT armor has a DR. If they nerf armor value by 30%, the plate melees would take 6.3% more damage than before which is a nerf but not that massively. But not good news at all, because mages will be way too tanky then.
No matter what, locks will have more physical damage reduction than plate dps! Sounds absurd to me, since we donât want or need another ele shaman face tanking all damage!
They should just remove armor values completely in PvP and balance damage from there!
Anyways, if any blizzard employee is reading this: I appreciate your try to change something else this time. Not exactly what I would love to see but going into the right direction in my opinion!
Give me your dks name and ill spare you
I can just laugh at this.
These changes theyâre doing just goes to show why itâs not worth taking pvp seriously.
