Arms is just a mess of a button bloat

Just cut out the release spirit and spam people for a battle res.

I just wish of a redesign for arms. Decrease the bloat and move the gameplay to bigger and slower crit hits instead of bleeds. Like when you hit mortal strike to be a big number. As for group utility arms should bring banners/shouts for supporting the group with buffs/debuffs.
Definitely agree that now is a bloat especially on pvp with extra abilities (sharpen blade for example)

Arms already does have massive hits, the MS/Execute crits as Arms are off the charts (2.5mil Executes), and Arms execute phase is extremely strong once again. In TWW the bleeds don’t do the majority of your damage, even on raid bosses with multi target it’s basically Execute => Mortal Strike > Overpower. There are exceptions on short burst multi target, but then it’s Bladestorm/Thunderous Roar which are major cooldowns dealing massive damage.

Regarding “Slower” - Arms hasn’t really been “slow” since Vanilla. Even in TBC it was quite fast paced but cumbersome with Slam resetting the autoswing, but crits were no bigger than Fury, then really from WOTLK onwards Arms was fast paced with the exception of WOD where it was dumbed down to Execute being the only attack that mattered, and they rightly moved away from that.

in TWW you could prune some clutter with Skullbreaker, Rend/Thunder Clap could also be dropped down to 1 keybind if TC did the same application damage on single target, Slam also has a weird role with how high rage generation still is outside of Execute phase, but the spec still flows very well and still fits into the cleave/execute niche it has long had.

Eg. The thunder clap+thunderous+skull splitter it’d awkward to use and it isn’t that rewarding at least for me

Skullsplitter does feel like it doesn’t need to be there, and like I said rend/thunderclap should be balanced so that you just press thunderclap if you have it talented with Rend. Thunderous Roar is awesome (at least until they bloody nerf it again in the next patch, fml).

Imo Arms is very close to playing really well, it doesn’t have that much bloat. We just have to hope the tuning doesn’t fall in the way of having us need to use clunky Spear of Bastion again, they should delete that from the game.

MS and execution hit really hard already, not DOT. And in what world slow is funny?

yeah you are just wrong, there’s just way too many abilites that all share GCD

arms is stupidly bloated lol

lol
you must be playing another game

There are lots of macros you can make to bind two abilitys in to 1 click, but if you want to see the real mess, try seriusly setting up your macros for arms pvp

I mean the ability to pummle and stombolt with bladestorm now REALLY cut down on the cansle aura macros but still
