you can’t really compare a balance druid into a warrior i mean c’mon lad.
In the war within ,a colossus arms warrior will need to do this , you charge, you have single target bleed , thunder clap bleed to choose , then use a macro for avatar trinkets and use warbreaker , use ravager or bladestorm ,roar bleed , cleave , overpower , whirlwind , you need to use skullsplitter for more dot damage , mortal strike , execute , victory rush heal , use sweeping strikes , and use demolish , shatter throw, and for extra rage slam…
17 buttoms to press … And some of them are boring , similar , they do damage aoe or st
But in m plus and pvp u need to use another 19 buttoms:
A cut ,a slow enemy , stun single , stun aoe , fear , spell reflex , stances to press x2 , big defensive parry , pain suppression, a jump, another aoe slow , a shout buff , another shout for life , remove fear , intervene … Improved mortal Pvp talents , disarm , banner nope i dont have more hotkeys i actually will not take talents for space problem
We need a rework for real …
I think WoW is not made for you. You have flavour and now you want to give it away?
Yes, too much “flavour” ruins a dish.
What are you talking about? I don’t understand these you guys who keeps saying arms is alright?! No it’s not stop trying to say its fine . We are trying to give solutions to make arms super fun and you trying to ruin it. This wasn’t even a problem until dragonflight Arms historicaly has been one of the easiest specs to play and learn legion, bfa and shadowlands the last 3 expansion we had simple rotation, very clear rage spender gameplay now we have more abilities that do the exact same thing for no reason on top of it stacking buffs and tracking them make gameplay so unfun especially when you play the same and see Bm hunter shadow priest destruction warlock ret paladin dev evoker just blast the whole dung and you sitting there just done thunderclap now you bladestworm just for you to wait 6 sec then 1 more gcd warbreaker then you finally start to cleave but suddenly everything is ded and now your strom buff is useless boneless meat grinder or whatever called never been utilize it’s stupid amount of gcd to just start blasting. Even in st why im locked behind execute to just do ok damage that everyone dose?! Just make execute dose skull sprilter why do i need to stack execute 15 times? Just make execute passively speed up dots. You guys don’t know how horrible it was on 10.0 arms execute phase untill they made mortal strike also apply rend for you… It feels super nice now make everything with that in mind it would make arms so fun to play.
Slam must be the most boring spell in the game.
I’d like to keep the flavour, but for the bland bits to be removed, “Slam” does nothing but a bit of damage, no interactions with anything, just “If you have nothing else left, use Slam, i guess”, so we can do without that.
And “Rend” should just be made into a buff-talent to “Deep wounds” already. (Like Blizz are doing with Affliction’s “Siphon life” in TWW), that would remove two buttons from the keybinds: “Rend” itself and “Thunderclap” for AoE application, they don’t do anything actually interesting, either.
With the rage generation nerf, I fear we wont have that much to press, but waiting on beta to test it myself.
I agree on the rework, definitely needed. The talent shuffle is a joke, our abilities looks outdated and blend, and these hero talents brings nothing to the table.
Why can’t we have a +50% size increase on Avatar with Colossus? I would expect to be a giant with this spec, but I get a 5% increase baseline? Where is the fun in that?
Warriors still have it better than Subtlety Rogues with their 7 different damage cooldowns with totally different cd timers. xD
The problem is not only warriors I agree, Arcane mage is also a mess, and I’d argue that the reworked Frost is too
You’re wrong, Arms used to be one of the most complex specs back in the days like wotlk/cata even mop was somewhat complex i’d say.
It changed in WoD when devs decided to prune like half of the abilities? But those dark times werent exclusive to Warrior or Arms specifcally whatsoever as everyone got half of their abilities pruned back then.
So please, dont use “historically” here.
I agree with you, arms has been harder to play. But my personal opinion (which is considered a very unpopular one) is that WoDs version of arms was the best one.
Slow heavy hitting, is imo what arms should be
Holy moly, i’d never believe i ever meet someone who actually liked WoD Arms.
Doing ~90%+ of dps with a single macro (literally), spamming whirlwind for single target. Nah, that wasnt the way…Yeah i know they added rend later on but still it was bad, and boring.
What Arms needs is some AoE adjustments as the current AoE “rotation” is kind of a mess and i do agree some of the AoE spells could be removed, such as Thunderous Roar which does essentially the same thing as Bladestorm but on a separate button (except for the CC immunity but thats mostly usefull in PvP) which seems completely unnecessary and unsatisfying to press. Also while we’re at it, Bladestorm HAS TO BE CANCELLABLE ← It was always the core mechanic of this ability, making it uncancellable with awfully designed talents like Hurricane reduces the skill-ceiling for min-maxing in certain situation and it actually impacts both PvP and PvE and i just wonder…why for god sake? Why? Who ever thought that was a good idea? Who…???
Bro what are you talking about?!! smh…
Did i even mentioned the 2 expansions you are talking about? Legion was 8 years ago even so how is wath cata even complex?!! Switching back to battle stance to reapply rend and consume overpower procs? If you enjoy that that’s fine you can play classic. i get used to wod legion bfa shadowlands all of them i enjoyed playing arms except dragonflight it’s kinda dull and unfun especially after shadowlands’ mortal combo and CA legendary, also im comparing arms to modern classes as i mentioned and not old self im also talking about aoe spasificlly and pruning in general.
No, you havent mentioned those expansions specifcally but mentioned the word “historically” so i just pointed out your blatant ignorance there calling Arms a historically easy spec suggesting that it has to be that way or something which is just plain wrong, no need to be mad lol.
Read carefully again and maybe we can have a discussion. The only one who is mad is you because you think classic is hard and complex and trying to cope these classic players always think that their game was hard but if you just go to wowhead or icy vains you would see the most blant and most boring rotation and they will tell you that harder game.
Also im pointing at the moon and you are talking about the sun smh… the argument still stand dragonflight arms have a lot of issues especially in aoe it needs fixing im here to voice and give good reasons why. You are here to just be a clown get off please you are the reason why many don’t talk about thier class issues and try to gives solutions. We are talking about important points and you are here to clown about absolutely nothing. You will not get any replays.
Yes, we need the disc priest tretment and also would be nice if we had spelleffects instead of 10 abilities with a shout animation with some dust, or cleave animation with no spell effect

Avatar looks so impactful, big black blob incoming with a bit of fire for 2 seconds.
Slam is funnily enough the most visual impacting ability with Execute (which took the SL animation). Such cool animation should imply it does interesting damages no?
I always said that warriors could use some red blood effect trailing after their strikes etc.
Paladins erupt in Holy energy every 2 seconds, summoning holy hammers from the sky, DKs throw snow and ice around like confetti, not gonna talk about Desmond the Moonbear that plays lazertag all day, and Monks at least get to breath fire and throw around kegs of alcohol.

Back in the day, Warriors had a really cool “Blood spurt” visual and sound effect for Deep wounds, that really made crits feel good, but for some reason only Prot can glyph something like it on Revenge, but Arms can’t get any bleed effect at all, Rend makes mobs colour slightly red, that’s it. If bleeds are such a big part of the Arms spec, at least make them look cool.
Cleave needs a better visual and sound effect too, it looks weak and sounds dumb.
