Arms or Fury -item level "problem"

Hi,
Thanks for reading.

I have a “problem” google can’t (it seems with my google skills, anyway) answer:

I’ve been playing both as arms and fury for a long time. But for Bfa I’ve been mostly playing fury -for the greater part of legion as well.

Now, at the Darkshore happening my reward was a sweet 2h with an item level of 405. My other 2h is currently 370.

Is it better going arms with one 405 or fury with a lower average?

just play the one you like most
to switch would be a matter of general stats, not only weapons
btw the only thing you should know is that higher weapon goes to main hand for fury

When it comes to calculating ilvl it only seems to take the MH for Arms and Fury.

Definetly Fury, as for me Sin rogue only main hand dagger dps matters that much. You have stats for Fury also, so giving high ilvl weapon to arms won’t be that good.

I’d say play Fury if you like it more.

Your off-hand weapon will always hit for half of what your main-hand does, so the item level of the off-hand doesn’t impact you too much.

Offhand damage is still a factor in total DPS, but it’s so minimal that it barely matters.

As long as he uses the 405 in his main hand he should be more than fine. Arms is awful at the moment anyway.
