There were many veterans of the first two Great Wars of Azeroth, that had lost their positions in the army when the Alliance downsized to focus more on rebuilding, now that the Orcs had been imprisoned in Internment Camps. Among them, were Peterson Stormgate and multiple fellow soldiers from his unit. Most of them had little-to-no farmland or such to profit off of, as quite a few had come from lives or even lineages of Soldiers and Knights. Some had mouths to feed, and others upkeep to pay. With little other choice, they agreed upon forming a Mercenary guild.
This guild, known now as The Blue Blade under Stormgate’s leadership, has worked under contract for many local towns around Stormwind’s Kingdom and other places, thwarting a Defias plot to take over Goldshire, and wrestling the Blackrock Orcs for control of Redridge.
Though, with the recent attack on Stormwind by the Scourge and word reaching Lakeshire of King Wrynn sending soldiers, heroes and conscripts on boats to Northrend, it would appear a new adventure may be on the horizon for The Blue Blade…
The Blue Blade is Mercenary RolePlaying guild on Alliance set up in the earliest days of Classic. We are currently recruiting RP’ers with suitable characters for our upcoming return and Wrath of the Lich King-based storyline in November. We will be RP’ing in Eastern Kingdoms for the earlier parts of the story, which means we welcome lower level or new characters, our guild currently residing in Lakeshire as of this message.

Class-wise, Warlocks, Death Knights and other similar classes are usually a no unless there is an explicit story reason for the character to be involved, or if the class differs from the gameplay one.

All races are welcome, however we prefer it to be Human/Dwarf centric due to the backstory, that and we are already getting an influx of Draenei

We do not raid, however dungeons and levelling together is commonplace. We also are pretty charitable about sharing our profession items.

Story-driven RP events will begin in November, likely weekly or bi-weekly on a voted day. In the meantime we are setting up characters and covering what we’ve missed since OG Classic.
