Arthas in the new cinmatic

Indeed. The author of the article doesn’t seem to understand lore that much. Once Arthas picked up Frostmourne, he was lost to Lich King. Yes, he did some questionable things before, like Stratholme, hiring mercenaries to burn ships of his troops, so they could not leave and then killing these mercenaries… he did those things to protect his kingdom. However, actions the author of this article is talking about here were already when Lich King had control over Arthas. During WotLK, Jaina herself acknowledged that Arthas was long gone and Lich King took over him. Sylvanas on the other hand was willing to some degree in her cooperation with the Jailor, she should have no right to judge him the way she did in the cutscene.

Which article?

Some wowhead article that goes “in depth” (read: point out the obvious stuff) about the latest cinematic.

You know, the usual quality of wowhead’s articles.

Found it.

Wrote something totally different, but it is not worth a ban over it.

Oh well… all is forgiven.

I mean, we’ve seen souls in Revendreth who did far worse things then Arthas. He should’ve at least been given the chance to go there, like Kael’thas did.

The way he ended is pretty pitiful, and he didn’t deserve to be done dirty like this, while Sylvanas will likely get a free pass and be allowed to choose her own fate.

I think it was Blizzard’s way of saying no more Arthas, just like they did with Garrosh.

At least Garrosh got to choose his fate, and went out on his own terms. Arthas was just reduced to a mere soul fragment and then obliterated.

Which is good, I think. There is a beginning and an end. Let the end be the end. He died twice now.

I too think they could’ve handled it differently. Oh well… it’s done now.

I coulen’t agree more Arthas’s future was the only thing there kept me playing now the only thing left is to be rping on argent dawn and i pretend that arthas is now a human in Lordaeron once again and that he’s retaken it and has made Lordaeron great again.
