I felt bad for Arthas in the Bastion cinematic no matter what he did. He should have been judged by the Arbiter like everyone else.

Betrayer. Tyrant. Monster. He killed his own father and ravaged his homeland. He deserves the Maw. Uther was a stubborn fool, but he did good when he dropped Arthas into the Maw.

Sure, but it’s not upto Uther to judge him. He could have gone to Revendreth first and if Arthas was truly a monster he would end up in the Maw anyways. There is a chance for everyone, if he fails in Revendreth, he goes to the Maw. - If Sire Denathrius didn’t work together with the Jailer that is.
As I see it Arthas did nothing wrong. He did everything he could for his kingdom while uther the ‘light’ bringer turned on him. Uther deserved a traitors death. Lordaeron failed Arthas. The kingdom of gilneas and Kul tiras also failed the alliance they deserve to be turned in to the undead.
Arthas was after all the crown prince of lordearon the true heir of the kingdoms of lordaeron. He is the true king of all of lordearon, may it be in the living or undeath.

Gilneas already left the Alliance at that point, and Kul Tiras was too far to do anything. The Scourge rampaged across Lordaeron after Arthas went rogue.
Arthas is a traitor, he destroyed his own kingdom. Lordaeron is a wasteland now because of him. Watch your mouth, zombie.

Arguably. Now with his sister in command the line has been restored however and she can pretty much take the throne by usurping it from him since well he cant do anything since the people arent behind him.

Lol no he wouldn’t, without LK powers he is -nothing- and quite frankly I am unsure how Illidan is supposed to battling him eternally. It’s all very silly.
Because as a DK, Arthas was directly empowered by Ner’zhul through Frostmourne, therefore he and Illidan were equally matched at the time.
if by equal you mean illidan was stronger until the plot needed arthas to win then yeah they were “equal”
There was said that he was just a tool. That he could not control what he was doing. He was just a passanger that watches everything rather than a driver who sits behind the steering wheel.
Thats why he asked his father , Is this the end , or something like this when he was dying atop ICC.

All he did was murder everyone, burn his own ships to get his revenge on malganis.
