Artifact casting animation confusion

Hi

I am a bit confused about the casting animation with artifact weapon.

Sometimes I can see the weapons on my hands when casting and sometimes I don’t. Is this like randomized or is it related to something specific? Sometimes for a period of time I see it then I don’t, like it seems quite random? But why? I’m a bit confused (I’m a bfa player so I don’t know much about the past expansions and stuff).
