Ok so, first of all due to a bug, then it became a feature the situation is that only base hidden skin needs “unlocking”, the other 3 colors can be unlocked by having other spec hidden appearance done.
Example, you have resto hidden skin, you unlock all 4 colors.
Now you have 3 hidden colors on all tank/feral/boomkin UNLOCKED, first still needs to be done usual way.
Thats how you got feral hidden skins, and mogs.

I was confused as, when levelling through Legion, the hidden appearances didn’t show when choosing what artifact skin to apply in the class hall, but then there they were in my appearances when tmogging my weapons in BfA!

There were M15 appearances in Legion ? Look, yes, my memory is jellyfishlevel bad…
It was same in legion already. Unlocking tank hidden appearances on my DH gave him recolours of his dps ones even when i never got it from the dreaded demon or what-it-was.
Better yet was the DK unholy one, where my other dk (different non-linked-acccount) looted the hidden looks while boosting my other dk in its chain as 1st dk was almost naked, and I thought I help it with my raid-dk to speed things up. At end also the helping dk got the looks despite never had looted the item originally for quest.
There are few of such odd anomalies here there and they already were so in legion.
Also this is also same reason why my dk-army can use the tank weapon recolors while I never got the 1st colour doing the suramar scenario. I had unlocked colours of frost 1st, and it also unlocked colours of the tank weapon.

So to clarify everything up, you have all the appearances unlocked on another druid, but you have to righclick the claws in transmogtab and then select the one you want, so thank you all for helping me, I’m happy
