Do people enjoy this spell? Like.. At all?
It’s been the big cooldown for elemental for more than a decade, at times mandatory and at other times an optional talent. We are now back in the era of mandatory Ascendance.
I don’t enjoy using this cooldown. It takes up a GCD for some unfathomable reason, turns my cool awesome chain lightning into the soup beam (which looks and sounds far less satisfying), and turns my rad thunderlord character model into an ugly dude from Cataclysm.
I’ve loved Elemental ever since Pandaria, but between mandatory Ascendance and the poopification of Lightning Bolt’s gamefeel this character’s plummetted down my list when it comes to who I’ve wanted to level first in an expansion.
Love it for enhancement honestly, but I realize many people don’t.
For elemental it vastly changes the spells looks wise so for anyone wanting to stick to the storm vibes it’d be nice with another glyph similar to the boomkin glyph of stars where you keep your own character model (ideally changing our spell animations too).
I’d love that tbh. Even MORE lightning would be much adored - though Glyphs seem like a largely abandoned system now. Are new ones being made?

Sometimes, we already got glyphs to change ascendance appearance last expansion so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to just make another one with the boomkin one as blueprint.
And yeah fully agree, MORE lightning to make it feel like the roided-up mode of our regular selves that it is.
Originally (MoP) the enhancement ascendance did just that with stormblast looking like a juicy lightning beam instead, which I’ve always missed. From WoD to TWW it was replaced with the glaive-looking balls of wind that I hated, but the current one is a massive improvement imo.
So I totally get the gripe with the elemental one.
