Yesterday i opened my mounts wanting to summon Ashes of Al’ar. But surprisingly and shockingly found out it was missing… I then scrolled through my achievements just to be shocked Al’ar feat of strength was missing too! I am now looking through my hard drive to find if any screenshots left with this mount…
How could it be and have anyone encountered this?
There was a similar bug the other week. I would do a bug report in game letting them know the issue. You won’t get a reponse but it will go to the right people. Hopefully it will be fixed again soon.
To report a bug in-game:
- Press Esc or click the ? button to open the menu.
- Click Support.
- Click Submit feedback or bug report.
- Enter the details of the bug into the Submit a bug description box, making sure to follow the guidelines outlined on the submission form.
- Click Submit.

The only reasons I’ve ever seen for a mount disappearing - outside of an achievement issue, which would affect way more than one character - are:
- misremembering the account the feat of strength and thus the mount was on - such as a different battle.net account or an account in a different region
- transferring the WoW account off of the battle.net account that had the feat of strength
Did any of those possibly apply?

We haven’t seen any other reports of mounts going missing, including the issue with achievements that was recently resolved.

But as Semmelmonarc mentions the only situation in which a mount like this would go missing from a character would be if it was transferred between battle.net accounts.
I purchased the expansion after 8 years of break. When I entered the game and hang around after many years, I realized that the Ashes of Al’ar mount of mine is missing. There is no trace of that mount in my account right now. Maybe what else disappeared from my account like this, but I’m not aware of it.
I opened a ticket but they said that they can’t see any record of that.
It’s gone!
I’ve only one account and played with the same main character for more than 10 years.
I don’t know what they’ve done to my account, but it’s obvious that they’ve really messed things up.
I requested a refund for the expansion and the game time.
Just a shame.
