So lately every time the Horde is losing in Ashran they have 1 or 2 warlocks using AoE teleport to port everyone on their bridge into their base while they hide out there forever, effectively holding the game hostage till the Alliance leaves or feeds themselves.
No melee on the bridge, just ranged to pick off those that are impatient and want to get in on the action. (there are always a few in each BG that feed the other team kills)
Summon treant and then focus Volrath when it enters their base. The Horde cannot ignore the treant.
Farm scrolls and arcane prisons for use when the Horde push out of their base to get some kills with Bloodlust before retreating back into their base (Simeoa loves to do this).
this tactic is performed by a prem who either only queues av or ashran, the queues can take up to 50mins for that 1 single bg q so he takes the time of his life to play the game however he wants cuz in his words âi didnt wait 1 hour to end in 10minsâ.
If u wait and camp ur base youâre just playing his game either way cuz they go ring and farm dinos wyrms and they will eventually charge in using everything.
If you attack they will trap you in their bridge and use dinos wyrms lock ports etc
You can /tar their warlocks as they do go around relic hunting as a prem but most of the time do raid warnings so as the whole team follows.
And tbh i just leave when i see the said prem cuz i work 11 hrs a day and i dont have time to play out a 50 min snoozefest
Just came back from there. This is a cancer tactics - if the opposing side starts doing the same thing, the match never ends.
In a BG that doesnât seem to have a timer, rewarding a âtacticsâ where you just stand around in safety of your base until the enemy gets bored seems like a very bad design.
I was there 30 minutes ago. It was a silly olâ premade group of 30 people too.
We had 60 points while they had 30. We also had 2x ancient artifacts among other buffs + Fangrall and we lost to this tactic even though we were really aware of it and tried to counter it.
They would also put these arcane prison thingies coordinated one after another meaning few people will be permonanently stuck at one spot until they die.
It varies from 5 to 15 people. Never 30âŚWhen its Simeoaâs premades.
I was in this game Alessa. Ally was very strong. Was a good fight:)
Using leadership should be rewarded.
The defending tactic is easy to break, with good leadership and some knowledge.
Ashran is fun to play because of the items in it.
Individuals can really make a difference inside Ashran by using the right item at the right time.
Like the Scroll of Protection you used. Non of you were dying until it expired, if someone else had used a new scroll of protection. I think you would have won.
Simeoaâs premade is the one I can tolerate. They donât farm GYs and such like these other premades but focus on objectives. He encourages the Alliance to beat him in Ashran. I joined his community earlier this year, hoping for some 5-man action in normal BGs, although I only played a handful of games with them before I decided to play my Alliance toons instead. His turtling tactic can be annoying, but it can also be beaten. The problem that both sides face in this war of attrition is patience, which often decides the winner.
Me as an experienced (over 500k hks done in just one of my characters , 800 honor level + Battlemaster, Khan and multi 2.1 + experience i Rated Bgs) took leadership over the battleground yesterday Vs Simeoa, aware of the tactic they did and we managed to some extent and still lost.
A situation like this in Ashran where people actively participate in the strategy happens close to NEVER. We lost a literal 1 hour attempting to beat the strategy.
And in the end we Failed.
Its absolute B S what youâre saying and not a good argument to defend or justify this toxic and unlawful trend that is bypassing the game limit of 5 players premade which i repeat one more time is abuse of game mechanics.
And last but not least, no amount of pattience would win you the game.
We had 2 ancient artifacts in the group during the duration of the whole game.
And yeah. I see why youâre defendin this bs, youâre in a PvP premader guild.
Its usually those with privilege that do not notice it or/and refuse to give it away.
Give it up man, its hurting the game/community and the incoming/inexperienced players resulting the drought and longer ques.
There should e a correction similar to how twinks were allowed to que vs normal and
the way theyâre now theyâre in their own bracket vs other twinks, resulting in resolving the issue with twinks entirely.
Similar approach HAS TO be implimented to premades as well.
In other words Premades should be alowed to que only V.S. other premades!
Iâm not defending the use of syncing to bypass the 5-man limit. Donât get me wrong, it shouldnât be allowed. However, the tactic can be successful whether they queue as 5, 10 or 15-man.
Alright then.
Still Ashran needs a overhaul or some sort of rework.
If you sync your raid up you can root people permanently with arcane prison.
There barely any buffs on the alliance side of the map among many other things like the team not being able to track or target enemy or their own bosses resulting in silly sneak kills.
The battleground has no timer, resulting in this âturtle tacticâ as you guys call it lasting for potentially an hour or so.
And the Battleground is missing a meta achievement btw lmao
We sometimes queue as 2, 3, 4 or 5 for BGs never more than that. Gear and IL doesnât matter to us. We donât farm GYs and we always play the objective. We group together purely for fun and we donât grief the opposition. What is wrong with that? We certainly donât engage in the type of behaviour as seen in AV on Wrath Classic the other night.
Simeao always has one player in Volrathâs boss room to call out any attempted sneak kills. There is nothing to prevent the Alliance from doing the same. Items can be farmed on the right side of the map in the caves on the Alliance side as well as the Ring on Conquest, which is halfway between the Horde and the Alliance. All you need to do is drop Arcane Prisons at the entrance to the bridge when Sim makes a push out of their keep with BL and prot scrolls to negate it.
And by the way, this BG was originally designed with no timer. Just this year I queued into a premade v premade that lasted 2 and a half hours.
Random Battlegrounds are the field of the casual Joe.
If you cant understand that I feel really dissapointed that I ever lost a moment of my life trying to explain to you how dumb being on that side fo the river is.
Sorry thats all the time Im willing to give you, i wrote enough literature for you, you might as well go read it again and again until it gets into your privileged brain.
he stands inside the base with 2 ancient artifacts and 7 boomkins and 10 healers and wonât leave even if he is up by 90 score. it is the absolute scummiest premade by far, bar none. i would rather be gy farmed than run into this. gy farms end in 10 minutes tops. simeoa drags out an easy win Ashran for 45 minutes for literally no reason at all. We caught them in the open field in Ashran a week ago and expected them to quickly fight and wipe us (they had solar + 2 AA) and instead they ran past us, letting us kill them, just so they could hide in base again. Took us 10 minutes to push the flags to their base just so we could actually cross the bridge again, where they do nothing but portal you onto the boss.
âjust counter itâ - impossible without tanks. i report this guy and get my whole team to report him any time i see him.
